Some Things About Invisalign You May Not Have Been Told

Worth It
Spent: $6,000 in San Jose, CA

I have 5mm of crowding in my lower arch. My treatment is for 16 trays upper, 24 lower. I'm on my 4th set right now. If you're consulting with your ortho, ask them if you will require attachments(buttons).

They make it much harder to insert/remove the trays. Also, they will prevent you from evenly bleaching your teeth since they cover part of your teeth. I have 5 attachments on each arch, and the lower tray is very hard to remove on the first few days of each tray, and it's a bit painful too (imagine pulling on the tray while it's grabbing your teeth and not letting go!).

Your speech will be affected and won't improve to the way it was before Invisalign. I still cannot say "the statistics" without a lisp. However I still think they're better than braces because you can remove them before an important event and they don't hurt like when braces do when they're tightened.
