12 Weeks and Not Yet Healed or Looking Good

UPDATED FROM BillE

Coming up on a year.  I still look pretty...

$5,000

Coming up on a year.  I still look pretty crappy so on to get revisions done to see if they can make my left and right side similar.  Apparently, too much fat was taken out.  I look ok with clothes on but would never take my shirt off in public.  I"m hoping the touchup make me look normal enough to go back to the beach.   Stay tuned!

Well, keep in mind that the Physician that did my surgery there is no longer there and I heard from someone else that he got fired. While I have not had surgery with Dr Falcone who is there now, I have heard good things about her....other than that she is charging people to fix what Dr Smith has botched up. That to me is unacceptable, but I can't comment on her work. Bill
My procedure was done about 71/2 months ago, initially i was really trilled with the results, then around october/nov, i thought this does not look all that, i looked a bit bloated, but now in Feb, i am quite pleased , i had the procedure done on my lower stomach and love handles, while i can't boast of a flat stomach, i have certainly lost that hangover, and my waist is clearly defined and the inches i lost have not come back. I think its a matter of being patient and eating right. i am very happy with the results, ilook so much better in clothes, much more confident!
Hi Everyone, I did have revisions done. The Dr noted areas that were done incorrectly or where too much was taken out. It was clear to me that my expectations should be VERY low. It still looks quite bad but I'm hoping it will at least look a little better after it is completely healed. I'll be in touch once I completely heal. Would very much like to hear of others' experiences with Dr Smith or Physician Body Solutions in Philadelphia. Take care!

About 12 weeks out here and not feeling good about...

About 12 weeks out here and not feeling good about the results yet but hoping I will.   I don't think they represent this procedure properly.   It was very painful for me and I am not yet healed.  I am lumpy and uneven, my left and right side look completely different since it looks like more fat was taken from the right side.   I had a followup and they said I am not healed and everything will be fine and to come back in the fall.   Some people take 6 months.   Gee, wished I would've known that prior to doing this.   I guess no beach this summer!  :-)    Hoping now to come out looking normal and not having to go for corrections but I am doubtful.   Are there others out there who looked bad at 12 weeks but ended up satisfied?  Please let me know I would love to hear some encouragement!   Thanks.

I am 9 weeks post-op and I understand completely about what your saying. I am still lumpy and uneven. My love handle areas are not painful but they are still sore. When I had my 4 week post-op visit my doctor told me that I look great and to massage the lumps everyday and they will go away. I have been doing that and they are still there. I have another post-op visit in 2 weeks so hopefully I will get some more answers. I'm also wondering how long it will be until I look normal again. Can anyone tell me?
I think we are all different, sorry to hear you are still in pain, i had vaser done, its exactly 3 weeks, and no more pain or feeling sore, only thing is i can't see much of a difference from the day after the procedure till date, i had hoped my stomach would be flatter, had upper/lower and love handles done, wonder if our expectations are too high.
Hello, I read your story and I truly understand where you're at and what you are thinking.. Anyway, they tend to tell you it gets better with time. Time heals all kind of thing. It Bs. The only thing that changes is we become more accepting of the damage. The thing that I have noticed with smartlipo is that it looks better one day and then worse the next. I have started treatments like endelmologie and Vela smooth and they have corrected some of the lumpiness. The only problem with that is that it is a temporary fix. In my case if was a temporary relief. Relief from all of the worry and why did I do this to myself kind of negative self talk dialogue I had going on. The other thing that I have noticed it more and more fat tends to dissolve in the coming months. Like the result that i had at say 2 months has changed quite a bit now at 6 months. Hang in there. You are not alone and hopefully some changes will take place for you that bring comfort to you.
Thanks for your reply, it's reassuring to know you are not alone, hope to see some more fat dissolve, but more importantly, i noticed that one on the incisions is now inflamed, i had 3 and they were all healing nicely, a bit scared. will have to call my Doctor right away, hope its not serious, i wonder if anyone has had similar?
Hello, I just get my Smart two weeks ago, my healing process had been excelent I dont feel pain anymore and I can see that my belly is looking a lot better. I am sorry to heard about yours result, but I am very happy with mine. I think in two or three months I will be able to see my abs. good luck to everyone
Hi BillE, I was just curious to know if you had seen any improvements since you last updated? Also, what doctor did you use? (I take it you would not recommend her/him?) Thanks, and I hope things turn out a lot better than you were expecting.
