Worth It
Spent: $3,500 in New York City, New York

I just got smartlipo mpx yesterday and I am feeling good. The procedure did not hurt in the slightest.

I am concerned about the results. I had smart lipo mpx performed on my lower abdomen because the doctor told me thats all I needed along with my love handles. I wanted to see the results from my abdomen before i spent more money on my love handles. I am 5'8 in and weigh 140. The doctor took out 400cc and grossly enough I wanted to see it.

The problem is that i thought i would notice a big difference as soon as I got out of the chair because the swelling had not begun but I didnt feel or see any differences. And now I am just swollen and look bigger then before. Is this normal? How long does it take for the swelling to go down? Is 400cc too little? Maybe I need to go in to get more taken out? I am not sure what to do and I am kinda getting nervous!

Hi! I am also in NY, can you give me the doctor name and phone. I couldn't find good experienced doctor. How many areas did you do?

HI Newbody1, I too had the same areas done 10 days ago (upper abs too though). I felt exactly the same way you did. I am more on the petite side and didn't have too much taken out so after the surgery and the swelling, I started freaking out that I had made a mistake or that my doc didn't take out enough. But rest assured.... and be patient. I know it's hard.. You were still filled with alot of the fluid they used to make you numb. I was like a balloon and barely had any leakage but it concerned me that I wouldn't see any results. It took me more than a week to start seeing results past my swelling and bruising ( I bruise easily) but I am liking what I am seeing so far. I have been told that half of the swelling subsides after the first month. And then 10% each month thereafter but of course everyone is different. Give it some time and allow your body to heal before you decide anything. Best of luck!

Agreed. I got my areas done back in December 2008 and did not see real results until 6 months after. Even today, I'm still seeing improvement in my results. My inner thighs are still in the process of smoothing out.
