I had smartlipo done on my chin on 01/09/09. Not a double chin, but a very prominent fatty cleft chin. The lipo was done to reduce the appearance of my chin.

I only had two small stitches under my chin where he inserted the cannula, and only wore 4 steri strips for a couple days for compression.

Today has been one wk, I can tell there is less fat there, but I have two small pockets of the melted fat which make it look a little worse then before. Doc assures me to be patient and they will take care of themselves. Here's hoping. I've been told that the true results can take up to 6 months, he said for me probably 3 months.

Thank you for your comment. Now that it has been about 7 weeks, are you still pleased with the results? Has the healing process progressed as the doctor explained?
