I am 3 weeks in to my Smart lipo on my Love handles and lower abdomen. The recovery not so painfull but still bruised..The funny thing is that in the first week the skin was tight but now my lovehandles are showing same as before I could still pinch so much from my sides ...I am so upset I tool a loan out for this as it was important..I know it is not a solution for loosing weight but I wanted a good head start on the stubbuorn areas..but results are crap...

Not sure what to do?

Hey, did you get SmartLipo with suction? If so, how many CCs OF FAT did they take out? total CCs will include the numbing solution.  Your provider will know this information. It could be you are having the same swelling I have. My provider has said it will be a few months before I see the final result - he doesn't do his "after" photos until three months post-op. My husband, a surgeon, has told me the same thing. Give this time! : )

Well I was totally out during the smart lipo, and after he said that he took 1.5 liters out, I do not beleive it I mesured my self today and same mesurements as before..I think i got ripped off..not only that but my sides look a bit different then each other..My doc said it is swelling but I can still grab same amount of fat as before..

Hi there. I am lumpy, too but you have to understand the amount of "trauma" that your body goes through when you do this procedure. I am 2 mos out for my abdomen/love handles and 6 weeks out from the others. I do swell daily especially when I fly. I do have some numb areas, too. The nerves have to regenerate. Limit your salt intake and be patient. I really think you'll come through all of this just fine but, if not, discuss it with your Dr. He/she sould be able to address and/or fix the problem (if they're "worth their salt") I personally am thrilled with the way my clothes fit, etc. I think that, given 6 months, you'll feel better!

I had smart lipo on my upper arms about 6 weeks ago and I'm terrified over my lumps and bumps (I think they call it "roping"). I look disfigured and would give anything for my "old" arms back. I've been massaging my lumps daily until I'm bruised, but even if they improve temporarily they come back. Has anyone had lump and bumps and do the actually go away? How long did it take for them to go away? I am scared. :o(

I had smart lipo done on my abs and hips 4 weeks ago. I had the same thing...at first my stomach appeared completlely flat, but as time has gone on lumps have appeared. I massage daily and eat right/exercise. My doctor claims the lumps will go away in about 4-6 months. She claims my stomach will be completely flat. I sure hope so!

Peter has anything improved since your last update? Are you able to tell me who the doctor is? There are not a whole lot of doctors in this area that do smart lipo. It would help to know who to stay away from. It’s something that I am considering but am concerned that I will not find a good doctor and will end up with more problems then I have now.

Hi, I'm also curious to know where you went. I've been researching for a really long time and just decided on Dr. Rice - Im going in at the end of the month - super nervous and excited. Has anyone else been to Dr. Rice?
