I anticipated worst than I am actually experiencing. The actual procedure went smoothly. I opted to use a laughing gas so I could control how much I need. I made sure that I was awake throughout the procedure. I felt every thing that was done to me and I may say it was very tolerable. The worst pain was injecting the numbing solution which felt like ant bites. The zapping of the fats felt like a massager was inside your body. For most part it did not hurt at all, but there were times I would feel a passing jolt of pain in certain areas which by time I told him it hurts, he was done with the area. Then the last step was to smooth me out which felt really nothing. I felt groggy standing up after the procedure but was very conscious of what was happening. I started dripping out of my adits and was covered with bandanges and then my garment (which I think is the most uncomfortable). The whole procedure took about 2.5 hours. They took an equivalent of 5 lbs off me. I chose to walk around the surrounding area with my bf and then ate a light lunch. By the time lunch was over, I felt like I just had a really intense abs workout. I'm scared of swelling so I really wanted to just keep moving. Later that day I was able to hit some golf balls at the driving range, with a definite weird very heavy feeling....but I was able to do it and felt fine.. I took 1 pain med that was given to me even though I was not in pain because I was scared it might hurt when the meds subside from the procedure....that was a wrong move for me coz it made me feel so drowsy. I opted to skip the pain med and the muscle relaxant and felt a lot better. Again, no pain for me, just a very heavy feeling like someone dragging me down. The next day I felt smaller in my waist, still with drippings from 2 out of 7 adits and a lot of bruises. By third day my drippings had stop but then I felt bloated and felt like I was bigger than my pre-op body (I am sure of this because I have a shirt and pants I'm using as a gauge of my results). I'm not dripping anymore, no pain, lesser heavy feeling, unsure if i'm swelling or not, bruises still look the same, and still bigger than my pre-op body. I'm being patient about the whole thing. I know it takes months to see full results, with that note, I'm still unable to say if it is worth it. Experience wise, it was a piece of cake for me.
Updated on Sep 7, 2008:
3 weeks after my procedure and I have no bruises, discoloration whatsoever. There is still the feeling of heaviness on my abdomen especially towards night time but very bearable. Parts of my stomack feels hard ropy/lumpy and it seems like it constantly changes position in my stomach....weird texture. I Overall I feel that my abdomen has decreased in size, although not drastic. I am hoping as time goes by, so does the shape of my abdomen.
