“Smart Lipo 3/11/09”
Spent: $3,000 in Lehigh Valley, PA
42 years old, female 115 lbs, bruise easily, inner and outer thigh. Started antibiotic day bf procedure. In at 7:15 a.m. procedure at 8:30 a.m. finished by 11:30 a.m. Tumescent fluid going in was quite ouchy, but not unbearable. Lasering was painless. Suctioning all of it out was a little pinchy. Texted on my phone for much of procedure. Was able to go potty in a bed pan mid-way through procedure. Wasn't ever dizzy.
Home by noon. Walked the dog a mile. Tumescent anesthesia wore off and SORE that evening and next day. Vicoden day of and day after. Then 2nd day after just tylenol. Day three no pain meds. Bruising is absolutely spectacular. I look like I've been in a fight with a couple cans of purple and black spray paint. I am NOT the poster child for "less bruising with smart lipo." However, I bruise very easily, so I'm not an average patient. Bruising is from under buttocks all the way to the crease behind my knees. Massive bruising for me. But I can tell, it's fading ever so slightly.
I think it'll take about 6 or 8 weeks to get back to normal. I was thrilled with the look right after the procedure b/f the swelling started. If all is as it should be, once swelling is gone, it'll be similar. I can see a difference in my shape even with the swelling. I despise the garment but I'm wearing it faithfully. I hate that it stretches all the way up to my rib cage when it was the thighs that were worked on. But I'm hoping to b released to spanx at some point. Every day I'm a little better but hoping that post-op shape reappears at some point.
