Almost 4 months Post-Op

Breasts feel healed, no tenderness and can sleep on stomach. The scars still seem very significant though. And the breasts are assymetrical -- the left is obviously larger than the right. I was hoping to get to a C-cup but at best I am a very full D. Not what I was hoping for. The good news, though, is that my neck/shoulder pain has diminished. I just wish for all the scarring, more would have been taken out of my breasts!

4 weeks post-op | breast reduction

Slowly, slowly -- that's the name of the game. Still a little bit swollen but generally will be able to get back to normal exercise next week. I going to New Mexico next Thursday and the doc says I shouldn't soak before 6 weeks so no hot springs for me. Other than that, my energy has returned and the shooting pains are gone. Still hoping they'll decrease in size more. I had high hopes for a B but will definitely be a C, hope not D.

3 weeks post-op | BR

Surgi-strips came off a few days ago on their own and (ulp) saw the nipple scars. Not too bad but they are my least favorite part to see. There are shooting pains but not as regularly as last week. Still swollen and trying to not get anxious that they are not as small as I had hoped they'd be. I realize it's a slog for a couple months to see how they shake out. Wearing a sports bra beneath the surgi-bra which feels more comfortable. Definitely tighter.

Feel that he is a good surgeon who is at the Univ of WA as an instructor and also works with patients who had masectomies -- not a typical "LA" doctor. However, there was significant scarring and not sure if it was him or the residents who participated in the operation (UW is a training med ctr).
