Worth It
Spent: $3,000 in NYC

I have been HIV+ for 22 years. Slowly, my face and cheeks shrunk. The fleshy part of my temples started to hollow out. I'm 50 and have looked close to 70yrs for the past 5-6 years.

I signed up as a gunea pig for a doctor who was being taught how to inject Sculptra, but no one shoud ever do that. Go to someone who has experience.

Recently, have had 5 sessions, first = 2 vials, the rest 1 vial each. It's expensive, but worth it, just for your self esteem. The injections are like many little bee stings, but that goes away almost immediately.

The dr needs an "eye" - it's an artistic procedure as well as a medical one. The first dr. I had, had no clue what he was doing, and the sales person from Scultra who was teaching him couldn't get him to "see" where on my face the injections were needed. A good dr. should be able to look at the face and know where the filler is needed, my previous dr. kept asking me "where did you want me to inject you?" he was a waste of money.

My Doctor:

Dr Frechette has the skill, but also knows exactly where to inject, and how much is needed. He promises "Rome wasn't built in a day" and he is correct. He has a perfectly trained eye for this.
