I am 33, 5'9" and 188 lbs. I've had 4 pregnancies. I gained and lost 40-60 lbs with each so needless to say, by abdominals and skin have been through hell.
My pre-op appt is 10-23 and I am scheduled for the OR on 11-5. I'm excited and nervous. I am an at home mom and my dear husband (who isn't thrilled with the idea) is ridiculously supportive of anything that makes me happy.
My PS recommended love handle lipo, I'm opting out of that, I strongly feel like love handles can be worked away. The loose skin was my main priority. I am very self conscious about the "beer belly" over my pants or the FUPA if I have sweats on :(
I will post "before" pictures this week :)

I just to tonight found I have an ingrown hair on my csection incision. I read a review of a woman who's PS refused to do the surgery because of this. YIKES my pre-op is in 2 days. PLEASE don't let this complicate things :( I'm putting peroxide on it every hour!

Pre op today easy breezy, a few pictures, a few rx's and one HUGE billing issue!! my credit card was declined!! ugh! they were very accommodating they took 6k today and will rebill the rest when my credit card company gets their head out of their ass.

Pre op testing scheduled for 10-31 just some bloodwork. The last $1300.00 of my payment hasn't cleared yet. The office is being VERY patient with me :/
I'm very nervous about my babies. My sister will be caring for them upstairs in my home and I will be downstairs for the first few days, but I'm a bit of a control freak and I will need something to relax. I'm thinking about asking for valium. We will see. Most of my anxiety is coming from not being able to care for my children.

I am on the second to last day of my period so I will not be bothered with it until 3 weeks PO yay! Super thankful for that too!!!

I am feeling so thin before surgery, I am by no means thin. I feel like my belly roll is next to nothing. My mind is trying to talk me out of this. Almost as if I can live with the way I look today. I never look or feel like I have for the past three days. What's going on with me??

I had my bloodwork today :) they gave me two packages that look like travel baby wipes. They are called 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate Cloths (patient pre-op skin preparation) I have to shower the night before and use one cloth afterward, then in the morning do not shower just use the second package of wipes, then make my way to the hospital!!!

YAY! Billing issue finally resolved. Carecredit has been less than accommodating. They kept giving me the option to "extend my credit line" to cover the payment that hasn't posted yet. How convenient for them...NO THANKS! Happy we waited it out.
My PS office is amazingly helpful. If the aftercare is as good as the pre care, I will be extremely satisfied!!

So I'm sitting here waitin for my power lift recliner to be delivered and I decided to take more "before" photos. I was aware it was a lot of extra but I never took a picture of myself sitting before. I literally have stomach resting on my lap. GROSS! I am so grateful to be getting rid of it. This is an awful realization.

eye drops
phone charger
laptop
magazines
a jar of peanut butter
a bag of apples
a plastic spoon
baby wipes
special K protein bars
dum dum lollipops
a compact mirror
hair ties
a pen
a notebook
I'm sure I will add to it, but thats what I have so far. I did my final food shopping for my kids and my sister so she doesn't have to do too much running around.
I am spending all day Sunday at a toy bingo. It's my annual mom's day out lol EVERYONE knows don't bother me on toy bingo day. C'mon it's once a year, I don't go to the bar or on "alone" shopping trips so I am extremely selfish with this one day lol I am thrilled that I will be distracted all day!

Hello my sweet support team! I made it to the flat side! I was out like a light the whole procedure seemed to take seconds! I woke up sore with burning sensations at my incision site any verrrrry nauseas. I am a 23 hour observe so I am still here with a pain pump :)
I wonder what the reality of this pain is without the pump.
I cannot see any results yet as I am stuffed with padding and a binder. I know that I have two drains in my pubic mound. I'm very anxious to see what's going on down there!
I'll update more when I get home!!

Oh holy hell! I thought I had it made yesterday. I must have been well and long under the influence of the morphine drip they had me on. Because...Ouch! I'm in a lot of pain I didn't wake up to take a pain pill. I feel like I'm going to bust at the seams literally!! Nucynta the pain medication made me itchy all over so the doctors office rx'ed Percocet, they seem to be take the edge off. I still have that nasty headache. I still have no clue what my results look like but I'm sure I can sneak a peek at my post op appt on Thursday!!!

No sooner am I awake again and now the pain has doubled oh Lordy! On the bright side my drains aren't very annoying! Yay!!

Oh my. Using the ladies room has become a chore. The pain is intense. I've been walking but when I sit on the commode I get a burning/stinging sensation at the incision site that is excruciating. I'm sure this will pass, yikes I'm very ready for it to pass.

Post-op appomitnt went great! They changed my dressings and I got to sneak a peak! I am so happy with the results, despite the swelling it's way neater than I had imagined it would be. The incision is not jagged or uneven.
The drains are scheduled to come out on Monday (fingers crossed!)
The pain is still ever present but doc said I can add some ibuprofen to the mix and see if that helps any.

I have a bit more energy today but my body keeps reminding me that I don't have the stamina to keep up with my mind.
I hung out with my babies for a little while this morning, it was so nice to hold them and play with their hair. (It's the little things) one at a time they say next to me, they weren't as wiggly as usual so it wasn't uncomfortable.
I had a delivery today and the delivery guy was taking his sweet time fiddling with the truck and the lift it took him 25 minutes to drop off the box which meant I was standing for about 20 minutes, that exhausted me. Thankfully my sister is still here to pickup my slack lol without her, this would have been impossible. She is so intune with my children.
Now I'm super sore and tired gonna take a nap hopefully I will wake up rested and pain free!!

Extreme pain today. My sister reminded me I may have tried to do to much today and I should just go relax. The drains are hurting from the inside. They are scheduled to come out on Monday, hopefully that will alleviate some discomfort. My pubic area is swollen and leaking at the drain site :( ugh. I took the binder off for about 2minutes to change my dressings and I liked what I saw so far :)

My drains are annoying now. Painful and bulky, they seem to always be in the way.
I gave my children a bath and changed their diapers tonight. It was so nice to have special time with them. I am exhausted now and will be calling it a night ASAP.
2nd post op appt tomorrow, hopefully to have my drains removed!!

Drains are OUT! I had a bout of nausea afterward so I am laying down with an icepack and some ibuprofen :(
Doc said because I opted out of the lipo there is still work to be done, I need to lose 5-10 lbs to get rid of the spare tire look :(
I am still just thrilled that the skin is gone. I will post more pics after my fabulous shower tonight!!
Also, he said I can switch to a flexees girdle type garment and stop wearing the binder. I'll look for one this week!!

So sore, so swollen ( hope it's swelling). I miss taking care of my kids. I'm alert and mobile enough to be in their company, but not strong enough to lift them or really do much. :(

Had my third post op appt today. Dr removed my belly button stitches. Told me to lose a few pounds.
Pretty uneventful. I'm sore. My muscle repair is very uncomfortable.
I'm returning my lift chair tomorrow. I haven't used it in about 5 days.

14 days PO and I am still sore, I have a ridiculous pain underneath my left rib. The feeling is similar to a pulled muscle. I asked my PS about the tenderness at mY last appointment he made I seem normal. This is not normal I am hoping to address it again on Monday at my 4th post op appt. They are very thorough with seeing me multiple times and making sure the incision is healing properly. I am a little nervous because I have surgical tape that the doctor said would come off in two weeks and they edges are just now starting to peel...weird.
I added new pics of my two week belly. The swelling is hit or miss, today was a good day. I took two pics. One natural and one sucking it in.

3 weeks PO today. Went to my PS started scar therapy on my belly button. A silicone square that I am to wear 12 hours on 12 hours off. He mentioned the "swelling" above my incision is not swelling. It is fat!
WHAT!?!?
According to the chart I need to lose 21lbs. I'm afraid I will wither away to nothing! I am happy with my body and my weight :/ he requested I lose 3lbs a month for 7 months.
I also have huge bumps under my skin along the I incision line. Doctor said they are normal healing bumps and they will go away, I'm just happy they aren't seromas.
Feeling defeated today.

The compliments from my husband are amazing. He was always generous with endearment but now I feel like how he says I look :)
I feel rejuvenated like I've been given a second chance at my youth. It might sound shallow but my self esteem is through the roof.

Hey all! Feeling great today! Minor set back... Stitch spitting :/ I added a photo, it literally looks like someone took a hole puncher to my stomach!!
I cannot stress enough how happy I am to have had this procedure done. It is so nice to be confident in my clothes. I am not a size 2. My size didn't even change. I don't have the "overhang" anymore and I am just smitten with the idea that I can shop at Banana Republic again or any store for that matter, I know I will find my size!!!

I held my 10 month old on my hip for about an hour yesterday. I am so sore and I am swelling in the one area :/
I have upper abdominal soreness is still prominent every other day or so, but still totallllllllly worth it!!

What a great Christmas season! I wore clothes that fit! I ate in moderation. I feel fantastic!
I went to see my PS today and asked about my c-section scar. He said it just wasn't do-able :(
I wish he would have just told me instead of me "finding" out myself. I'm over it. It's an amazing job and I am thrilled!

Hey all! Almost 3 months out and my results are, well...awesome because its a heck of a lot better than pre op. but I'm not losing weight I have and inch or more of overhang and a fat bubble centered below my incision which you can see from the picture. I am feeling discouraged.
Nerve sensations are weird!!!
My muscle repair is still sore at the end of the night. I surely believed it would all be simmered down by now.

Quick update, super annoyed at this whole process. It's clearly not done to standard and my PS is blaming me and not taking responsibility for his work, instead he is giving me unattainable weight goals to push me off. I have no choice but to finish up with this dr and deal with it or repay and more downtime. I'm stuck with it. That said I still am super thrilled to have LESS skin on my abdomen, I just wish I felt better about the process as I seem to have a lower self esteem now than before the procedure, thanks to my PS calling me fat every opportunity he gets. I need to refocus.
