“Luscious Lips - in Under an Hour!”
Spent: $1,500 in Scottsdale, AZ
Posted 14 Jun 2010
I've been feeling lately like my lips could use a little "umph", so I scheduled an appointment with my doctor. Her staff told me I needed to stay off aspirin, and all other blood thinners beforehand. I was nervous, as I've never had injections before. They had me clean with alcohol wipes, then apply EMLA to the lip area. Once that was working, numbing, the doctor came in and started. Because the Perlane had lidocaine in it, the first few pricks were a little unpleasant, but when the lidocaine started working, the rest was a breeze. Nothing like I had expected, bad or good. It was different! And my lips looked, and still do, PHENOMENAL! She used 1 syringe in my lips, and 1 between my cheeks, but I think I'll ask what she thinks of 2 syringes in my lips next time.

My Doctor: Michele DeVito, MD
My rating:
She's fully trained in plastics, so she understands the face better than most doctors. Plus, she does her own injections, and her face looks GREAT!
