I have never been super slim but one thing i always had was a flat stomach.... even after 2 kids. I am 53 and about a year ago i developed a 'pooch' which i hate!1 no amount of dieting would remove it. I have no stretch marks or wrinkled skin - just THE POOCH.

At the beginning of this month i did some research and found a Dr... went for a consultation on the 4th and have the op scheduled for the 18th.... oh my....

went for my net visit yesterday - Kimberly is so nice! i had a laugh taking the before pics - and a cry when i saw them :( didnt realize i look like a small gremlin fat torso and skinny arms and ankles...
ah well... hopefully i will see a big difference.

ah well... hopefully i will see a big difference.

8 days left - i swear my stomach seems too look bigger every day!!
very depressed when i measured myself - that used to be the size of my hips a few years ago:(

so its 8 days post op
So weird...after i came out of surgery the nurse told me not to be shy about asking for pain meds...
8 days post op i have not taken ANY!
Just a pulling sensation in my abdomen but no pain at all!
took out the pain pump and drain yesterday
The only problem is i am super lethargic..
even writing this i am ready to lie down again

Tomorrow i go to get my tummy tape removed and for...

tomorrow i go to get my tummy tape removed and for my 2nd Post op review. Can almost stand up straight now, just a slight pulling.
Belly button seems to be doing well too!
No pain but still lethargic
hope to go back to work next week!

Will go back to work next week... feeling well on the whole just cannot shake of the lethargy. I try to do stuff and get exhausted!
Was told it is natural after a general anesthetic but its so annoying!

also still super tired - could sleep all day - but am back at work so not much chance of that
Can almost stand completely straight and cheering myself up buying some new and prettier compression garments!
How is everyone else doing???

I havent been sleeping too well as my compression...

I havent been sleeping too well as my compression garments seems to be squashing my stomach and making me feel really bloated..weird huh!
anyway, last night i wore a pair or tight cotton leggings...and slept like a baby! not sure if i should do that but at least i slept!
put on my CG as soon as i woke up
anyone else have probs sleeping?

So encouraging. Makes me cry thinking about it. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Although the bruising on the flanks is crazy because I am having lipo of the flanks and will probably have triple that bruising since you had no lipo to the flanks. Interesting. My surgery is in 6 days so can't wait to see a flat belly like yours!

omg, u look awesome............cant wait to be 3 weeks post op so i can take some pics........took some before pics..........had a full tt and lipo on saddlebags on the 5th.........hate wearing the girddle........took it off for an hour this morning.......finally took a breath............i ordered a size bigger for when i'm allowed to take this one off.........so waiting to see my self in the mirror after the drains come out.......

You look wonderful! Congrats. I had mine in July and I am 53 years old. I had the same issue with extreme tiredness. I went back to work after 2 weeks and it was tough regarding being tired. i worked half days for 3 days and took the Friday off. It really was too soon. I believe it is from the GA and also the loss of blood and body that can make you feel that way. I really did not have a lot of pain but I had lipo also and the bruising was bad.The arnica helped. I felt great at 8 weeks so hang in there and listen to your body and get your rest. I am so glad I did it. I should have done it sooner! :)

9 days PO, feeling a bit less lethargic - probably because i finished my antibiotics yesterday. Can almost stand straight now and it doesn't hurt so much if i cough or sneeze! More bruises seem to be appearing but that doesnt bother me at all - war wounds lol!!!

i think you will need help - especially with the kids..dont expect to be fully functional till at least a week PO. Honestly, i had no pain at all - just a mild discomfort...

Hi there, so glad and surprised to hear you are doing extremely well! Do you mind if I ask you.....you say that you never took ANY pain meds as you have NO pain, through day 8 :-0.....do you know how that is possible? Im not sure if anyone has had a partial Hyst, I had my uterus removed only, and I walked hunched over and was out for 6 weeks. I dealt with that pain ok. Ive only read comparisons with a C-section. So Im sitting here wondering how in the world did she not experience ANY pain. Please share anything that you think you may have done pre-surgery.

I asked the Dr and he said i must be rather tough LOL - the only meds i took was tylenol one day cos i had a headache.. In fact i was worried and asked if the pain was yet to come and the Dr told me that it can only get better.. I only feel pain if i cough or sneeze - then its like a knife through my gut but the pain goes after a minute The thing that is most bugging me though is that i am SUPER lethargic.. maybe no pain = lethargy pain = energy? LOL

You've got to post some pics so we can see what you are talking about. So weird that your tummy just came on all of a sudden. What did your normal doc say about it? Did either doc say it was hormonal? Are you getting a mini-TT? I'm in AZ, too. Had my surgery done at Greenebaum Surgery Center in Scottsdale. Really enjoyed my stay there. The nurses are lovely!
