He personally called to check up on me the day after surgery (Thanksgiving day.) His staff answered all my questions and helped me through the process. My incisions started to heal almost immediately. I interviewed 3 doctors about upper and lower eyelid surgery. I had a bad feeling about all 3 for various reasons - they couldn't tell me if I would have positive results, they didn't do a good job of explaining the procedure, they seemed most concerned about getting paid.....etc. I had just about given up on having the procedure done, but went to Dr. Shapiro for one last consult. i can't say enough about his manner, staff and professionalism. He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but he is head and shoulders above the rest. I knew what would happen, what to expect (both good and bad) and what my results would most likely be. From before to after the surgery, I knew exactly what to expect and when. I felt confident that HE was confident about my results. It took about 6 weeks before i saw the results, and I wish I had the surgery done 15 years earlier. What minimal discomfort there was was well worth it. It has made a huge difference in my life and appearance. When, (yes, I mean when) I return for a face lift, I know I will receive the best care and competence around. Don't look anywhere else!!!
