Had 450cc saline over the muscle done ten years ago. They were too small and too far apart after so many years and a significant amount of weight loss. Had very apparent rippling visible and implants still soft. Was told I had some scar tissue removed.
Replaced (over the muscle still)with 700cc high profile saline, over filled to 800cc to minimize rippling due to severe lack of breast tissue. It sounds like a lot but they aren't as big as they sound since I have no breast tissue at all (the 450's only made me a medium c cup!). They were much fuller looking the first 6 weeks or so and the settling and swelling going down did take some volume down from initial look. Went from 34ddd to 32ddd. Size is not exact as it has been impossible to find a comfortable sexy bra my size. I find that having my new cleavage makes a lot of underwire bras too uncomfortable (the wires go up to high and dig into implant).
Healing was pretty easy and standard, just have to make sure you remind yourself to ease into anything that you use your hands for. Only took pain killers for 3 days and then my stomach couldn't handle them anymore.
I am already wanting my swollen post op size back...

Hey allycat, sorry I have been away for a few months and am going to try to update my reviews this week:)
I have a friend that used him and was happy. I actually tried to go to him when I was doing my consults but had issues w the girls answering (not listening to me, trying to instantly upsell me on unneccessary procedures, all sales motivated not customer care oriented). This was a yr ago though so perhaps he has different receptionists and patient coordinators. Yea, I understand, ppl always are critics, as long as you are happy with what is in YOUR body, other stuff isn't important.
I have not heard of Dr. Spies but from a quick glance it looks like he has pretty good patient reviews. Why was your first aug botched? If you are a small d at that amount of cc's, doubling it may be much bigger than you may want to go. Depends on your weight, height and build too. I was barely a C with 450's and I almost (but not quite)doubled the volume and I am a 30 ddd - ish. If you go that big under the muscle, you do have the risk of bottoming out which happens when its too big (and I often read about happening) so I would see what your dr says and take his advice for the best looking and safest result. Going to silicone for your revision I assume? They do recommend annual MRI's to check for leaking silicone.
Also, although I am sure Dr. Spies will be great, I find it helpful to get more than one opinion from multiple consults from different drs, to compare notes, most should say the same general things as far recommendations for optimal outcome. If one says something totally different way out in left field, it's a good reason to carefully evaluate why if you decide to consider that dr. If you have a little nagging voice that tells you not to go to someone, trust it. You need to completely feel you can trust your dr and have confidence in their choices they make on that operating table. There are a lot of doctors to choose from, take your time finding the right one for you! Good luck, keep us posted!
I will keep you posted as to Dr.Spies recommendations :)
Cool, glad to hear you were able to make a decision you are comfortable with. That's what it comes down to since there are drawbacks to both. That's too bad you didn't have consistent results with the same drs. Seems like an unusual experience. Well, at least you found someone you are confident in now that seems to have good results (based on the positive reviews). Were you able to decide on cc's yet?
