Had 450cc saline over the muscle done ten years ago. They were too small and too far apart after so many years and a significant amount of weight loss. Had very apparent rippling visible and implants still soft. Was told I had some scar tissue removed.

Replaced (over the muscle still)with 700cc high profile saline, over filled to 800cc to minimize rippling due to severe lack of breast tissue. It sounds like a lot but they aren't as big as they sound since I have no breast tissue at all (the 450's only made me a medium c cup!). They were much fuller looking the first 6 weeks or so and the settling and swelling going down did take some volume down from initial look. Went from 34ddd to 32ddd. Size is not exact as it has been impossible to find a comfortable sexy bra my size. I find that having my new cleavage makes a lot of underwire bras too uncomfortable (the wires go up to high and dig into implant).

Healing was pretty easy and standard, just have to make sure you remind yourself to ease into anything that you use your hands for. Only took pain killers for 3 days and then my stomach couldn't handle them anymore.

I am already wanting my swollen post op size back...

Have considered filling my existing implants to get fuller size and also to correct some assymmetry. Everything I have read recommends not doing this though...there have to be some successful cases I'm sure. Perhaps we don't hear about it since this refilling is frowned upon among doctors...

Sooo, I had surgery a week and a half ago. My existing saline implants were filled to 850cc's (from 800) to correct some asymmetry and I had some pocket suturing done in the underside area and a little up the outer sides. Pain was not too bad, I'm a pro by now lol, but there was some, after all- surgery is surgery. They are still tender and am still needing constant support on them or they hurt. The change is minor but I notice the improvement. They are perkier from the additional volume and the tightening of the lower area of the pockets. Sometimes subtle changes can make big improvements!

Thanks so much for posting your review and photos here on RealSelf! I think your current size looks fabulous.

I have 450's under the muscle now and mine actually look more like your 800's. Weird! The new you looks amazing and I can see why you wanted the revison. I agree with the underwire bras...mine dig in as well and I hate that! :( Best of luck to you!

Thanks Pam. Yes, it's funny how cc's are different on people depending on there frame, starting breast tissue, weight, etc. When I tell people how many cc's before they see me, it sounds huge but it really isn't, I needed so many cc's from not having any breast tissue to start with. The bra situation is frustrating. I have been taking the wires out of a lot of bras or having to take in the bands because if the cup fits then the band size is usually too big like 38 or 36. Some brands have some styles with a kind of uni-wire that is great but hard to find. I don't know why they don't make more of those! My size is not even as big as I had desired or pictured they would come out. I wonder if I would look bigger under the muscle..?

I have heard that going under the muscle makes you look smaller? I don't know for sure. Depending on the bra I can wear a 34D,34DD and a 36D. All in all Iam very happy and they fit my body well. Alot of people tell me they look so real! (I'm glad!) I too, hate the bra situation. It's bad enough we have to try on several to get the size we need, but the underwires just make it worse! uggg!! I agree on people thinking the cc's are huge, but each person is different. I think you look great!

OMG looks amazing! I'm looking to get a revision as well. Whom did you see? I have 420cc and have the same problem I need more cleavage ! Just wondering where's the incision site to take the old ones out and put the new ones in ?
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 26 Sep 2011
Thanks Carmen! Typically I think that your implants are exchanged through your original incisions, mine were underneath, hidden in my breast fold. That is the best entry I've heard to be able to manipulate the pocket and to create better cleavage. I didn't want any of the complications that come with cutting around the nipple (seems like more problems and healing issues could be possible to me) plus I scar a little darker than normal. I wish I had gone bigger to fill the cleavage gap sooner-it seems to be a common issue. I would like about 200cc's more though-they shrink down a LOT. Shrinkage is can be disappointing lol.

There are a lot of experienced doctors in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, just make sure you find a doctor that really cares and therefore has the time to really listen to you. Also, go to a lot of consults-prices vary from the mid 5k to mid 8k. Some may work with you if you have other doctor's quotes with you that are lower. Also depends on if you need a lift or not. Good luck :)

Damn too big girl

Thanks! Putting them over the muscle gives them an all around roundness that makes them look a lot bigger than if they were under the muscle-they look a lot bigger in the photos than in person. I like my size, they fit my body but I understand why 800cc's sounds huge. On some people it would, it's one of those things like weight or hair color-looks different on everyone. The small bra does makes them look huge in the last pic though! Unless I wear something tight or skimpy, I don't look that big. They are small enough so I can choose to show them off or not. Also, depends on your personal preference, and what image you are comfortable in.

I think they look great! They fit your body nicely.
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 5 Oct 2011
Thank you DeeLee, I agree it's about proportion. It makes a difference what your cleavage distance is too-I was soo far apart before. I had gradually stopped buying any lower cut shirts over the years because I was so self conscious about it! I didn't even realize it until after I got my bigger upgrade and I was trying to find some clothes to show them off in!

Your figure looks great! May I ask what type of workout do you do to achiever your results?
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 21 Oct 2011
Thanks! I lost over 20 lbs by not eating meat and most dairy anymore. Also, I limit my alcohol intake to moderate instead of binging/alcoholic. I am much more active, try to do 45-90 min cardio 5-6 times a wk and light strength training 3-4 times. I am naturally athletic and don't want to lose my feminine "softness/sexiness" so I don't go too heavy on weights. I go in phases, some days I will go to the gym multiple times, 80-120 min cardio. It is just what works for me- everyone is different. I gain weight fast but can lose it fast so it evens out I guess.

Hi those loolok amazing can you tell me which dr.please I am goin for 3rd operation I got co tearoom but I guess I got the wrong dr.
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 24 Oct 2011
What happened during your revisions that you weren't happy with? I would stop going under the knife until you find a doctor that is clear with your expectations and that will listen. You take risksof more complications every time you have surgery, especially when you do them so close together.
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 24 Oct 2011
I am not clear on what you got...?

Who was your surgeon for your redo?
Mrs.Redondo 24 Oct 2011
Hi, I have my pre-op appointment on Wednesday for my 2nd breast augmentation the 1st time they used a 450 implant filled to 500cc (saline) and the 2nd time around we were going to be using a 750 implant filling it to 800cc...I am petite im 5'2 around 100-105lbs my whole point of doing it a 2nd time is because I want them bigger of course, lol. well my question to you is would you recommed me to go more than 800cc's? or do you think that would be fine, I am think and im thinking of going to the gym to tone up and build a little muscle, would that make a difference to my size?
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 26 Oct 2011
Well, as far as working out, I would work out as much as possible before your surgery bc you won't be able to work out your upper body that hard for a while. If you are asking that bc you are getting them under the muscle, I don't think that changes your size too much but I would ask your dr to be sure (I am over the muscle). What size are you now with the 450's. I was a small to medium c cup. I am 5'4", 114 lbs. and had to use 700 high profile implants bc of my narrow frame and I also wanted a bigger and fuller look. I personally wish my dr would've filled me more for 2 reasons. 1st, the size and 2nd, the reduction of rippling. The size that I was when I first got them was perfect but I went down after they settled (34ddd to 32ddd). Be very clear on what you want and don't let him talk you out of it if you are sure about the size you want to achieve. Drs do try to be modest and give natural looks but if you want a certain look and it doesn't put your health in danger then make sure you stand your ground and say "this is what want. Period." Even my dr says my size is fine but I know I could go bigger to get my post op size back and I would be happier with them and still look great. You're spending a lot and putting yourself through surgery, be 200% sure on what size you are going to have!

Just be aware that when you go this big, it is dam near impossible to find the perfect bra. Underwires tend to come up too high in the cleavage area and poke into your implants. Also, fuller figure bras for some reason always have the weird shaped cone like cup that our very round implants do not "squish" into like real breast tissue. I have tried on hundreds and the search continues lol....

Best of luck to you with your surgery, let me know how it goes!
Scottsdale1247 (RealFriend) 26 Oct 2011
Also, because of being over the muscle, mine have an all around "roundness" (like in the upper area-see last few photos) in their appearance that you don't get as much with under the muscle but this makes them appear much larger then they really are.

Plz...plz..

I can't say, I'm sorry. I signed a release form bc there was an initial mixup with my surgery. There are a lot of good doctors here in Scottdale though-I have heard and read great things about Dr. Robert Cohen but don't know anyone that has gone to him (think he is very pricey) and also Dr. Daniel Shapiro. Check out a bunch and see who you feel most comfortable with (and that will show you their work, let you talk to some of their patients).

Hi Diva00 -- You may also find the Scottsdale breast implant revision directory helpful. It lists board-certified breast docs, plus all of the reviews we have from Scottsdale patients. Hope this helps and good luck in your search. :)
