Had 450cc saline over the muscle done ten years ago. They were too small and too far apart after so many years and a significant amount of weight loss. Had very apparent rippling visible and implants still soft. Was told I had some scar tissue removed.

Replaced (over the muscle still)with 700cc high profile saline, over filled to 800cc to minimize rippling due to severe lack of breast tissue. It sounds like a lot but they aren't as big as they sound since I have no breast tissue at all (the 450's only made me a medium c cup!). They were much fuller looking the first 6 weeks or so and the settling and swelling going down did take some volume down from initial look. Went from 34ddd to 32ddd. Size is not exact as it has been impossible to find a comfortable sexy bra my size. I find that having my new cleavage makes a lot of underwire bras too uncomfortable (the wires go up to high and dig into implant).

Healing was pretty easy and standard, just have to make sure you remind yourself to ease into anything that you use your hands for. Only took pain killers for 3 days and then my stomach couldn't handle them anymore.

I am already wanting my swollen post op size back...

Have considered filling my existing implants to get fuller size and also to correct some assymmetry. Everything I have read recommends not doing this though...there have to be some successful cases I'm sure. Perhaps we don't hear about it since this refilling is frowned upon among doctors...

Sooo, I had surgery a week and a half ago. My existing saline implants were filled to 850cc's (from 800) to correct some asymmetry and I had some pocket suturing done in the underside area and a little up the outer sides. Pain was not too bad, I'm a pro by now lol, but there was some, after all- surgery is surgery. They are still tender and am still needing constant support on them or they hurt. The change is minor but I notice the improvement. They are perkier from the additional volume and the tightening of the lower area of the pockets. Sometimes subtle changes can make big improvements!

Happy with implants for now...I know I won't be...

Happy with implants for now...I know I won't be able to go 10 years until my next revision again bc of the size I am now and being over the muscle. I do miss the "post op perkiness" that you have for the first few months, perhaps I need to get them under the muscle to keep that look. They are still soft- although obviously not like silicone-and there are surprisingly very few spot where you can really "feel the implant" badly.
Great review?

Your revision results are beautiful I just had my revision done 2 days ago. I went with 800cc high profile gels under the muscle I just love how big they are. Hope I won't lose much of the size when the swelling goes down. I just love the swollen look!

Thanks!  Sorry you have had so many issues with your revisions, I took a quick look at your revision review.  I didn't see how many you have had but sounds like you have had all negative experiences-what does your dr say when you bring up your concerns?  btw, That 1st sample pic you have from dr. P is one that was one of my fave examples for my dr to see too!  I hope he is not retired by the time I am ready for another revision.  I can understand how emotionally frustrated you feel, its hard but it IS possible to be happy with your results-have you consulted w any other drs?

You look fantastic! I appreciate all the pictures you have up as it is hard to get a good idea of what the outcomes are from one or two pics!! Huge improvement! Congrats!

Thanks!  I know, if you are doing research you will find that one size implant can look totally different on a bunch of people so it's nice to see different frames for different cc's.  It can be excruciating if you are in the process of trying to decide what size to choose from!  I'm sure I literally looked at hundreds of breast aug pics when I was trying to make sure I was making the right size decision lol.

Congrats on your new girls...what made you go with saline & what has your experience been with them?

Thanks, I needed to be able to overfill the implants to minimize the rippling because I am still over the muscle so I don't have much tissue to cover the bag, With silicone that isn't possible. I like them, my first aug was with saline so I knew what to expect. With siicones, I heard that annual MRI's are recommended to make sure they arent leaking since you can't tell unlike with saline.

Do you have any updated pics of your revision?

Hey allycat, sorry I have been away for a few months and am going to try to update my reviews this week:)

I figure it was the same team, I didn't have a problem that would be really annoying. I was there in Jan 2011. Yeah I agree people should make themselves happy and worry less about negative thinking on others.

I have a friend that used him and was happy.  I actually tried to go to him when I was doing my consults but had issues w the girls answering (not listening to me, trying to instantly upsell me on unneccessary procedures, all sales motivated not customer care oriented).  This was a yr ago though so perhaps he has different receptionists and patient coordinators.  Yea, I understand, ppl always are critics, as long as you are happy with what is in YOUR body, other stuff isn't important.

Hey Scottdale, Wow i think you just said the words i needed to hear, about forgetting about people critics. thank you I’m gonna do it lol #gobigorgohome

Dr. Aldo Guerra was my doctor, I liked him and his staff a ton. I kind of feel bad I didn't go with Dr. Spies too but he was really awesome when I did see him back at the gym and very happy for me...ha annoying part is other people kept saying they thought I'd go bigger. So I really kept wondering what they meant behind those words, now I could care less though. lol

Dr. Spies is amazing I know him personally from my gym. He is such a great man, and he is hands down one of the best.

I have a consultation with Dr. Spies on the 25th of this month in Scottsdale. Revision from a botched breast augmentation. I want 725-800, currently 389 and 390, small d, big cc. I am under the muscle, do you think 800 would be ok since they look smaller under? I like the natural appearance under the muscle and the fact I can detect breast cancer easier. Any advice greatly appreciated. I want then to look normal this time, my friend owns so Scottsdale magazine, the surgeon advertising is the head of surgery at the Scottsdale hospital, but he's booked until June for consults; also there's something in my heart that tells me that going with him is not a wise choice. Dr. Spies has attained a great reputation with revisions, especially with cancer patients

I have not heard of Dr. Spies but from a quick glance it looks like he has pretty good patient reviews.  Why was your first aug botched? If you are a small d at that amount of cc's, doubling it may be much bigger than you may want to go.  Depends on your weight, height and build too.  I was barely a C with 450's and I almost (but not quite)doubled the volume and I am a 30 ddd - ish.  If you go that big under the muscle, you do have the risk of bottoming out which happens when its too big (and I often read about happening) so I would see what your dr says and take his advice for the best looking and safest result.  Going to silicone for your revision I assume? They do recommend annual MRI's to check for leaking silicone.

Also, although I am sure Dr. Spies will be great, I find it helpful to get more than one opinion from multiple consults from different drs, to compare notes, most should say the same general things as far recommendations for optimal outcome.  If one says something totally different way out in left field, it's a good reason to carefully evaluate why if you decide to consider that dr.  If you have a little nagging voice that tells you not to go to someone, trust it.  You need to completely feel you can trust your dr and have confidence in their choices they make on that operating table.  There are a lot of doctors to choose from, take your time finding the right one for you!  Good luck, keep us posted!

Thank you for the great advice! I'm actually sticking with saline just for peace of mind. As for the botched job, I used these surgeons on another cosmetic procedure that turned out to be amazing. I assumed they would be able to do an amazing job with the breast augmentation.
I will keep you posted as to Dr.Spies recommendations :)

Cool, glad to hear you were able to make a decision you are comfortable with.  That's what it comes down to since there are drawbacks to both.  That's too bad you didn't have consistent results with the same drs.  Seems like an unusual experience.  Well, at least you found someone you are confident in now that seems to have good results (based on the positive reviews).  Were you able to decide on cc's yet?

Btw, your breasts look amazing! Also, where do you buy your bras! My friend worked at a custom, top lingerie store in Chicago, tailored for bigger breast sizes, I messaged her on fb for the name as they ship, gorgeous bras, without underwire! Haha! I'll email you the name, once I hear from her!
