I arrived at ! and was given a Valium and a Benadryl while the nurse covered my face with numbing cream. 45 minutes later the procedure began.
She placed eye guards inside my eyes so she could get close to my lashes. I was sleepy and I have to say, the pain was bad but tolerable. She started with the Deep FX and zapped my complete face. A few places she zapped it twice....mainly fine lines and wrinkles and large pores on my nose. The pain was tolerable with a handheld fan and it was a brief zap. The areas that were most sensitive were the eyes and mouth.
After that "pass", she used the Active FX over the entire face and neck. This was a walk in the park compared to the first laser as it doesn't go as deep.

I feel great. My face is brown and red and I'm cleaning it every few hours and reapplying SkinCeuticals restorative cream to keep it moist. I'll post more in a few days.

Did not sleep well last night. My face and neck were so tight and the itching is beginning. I woke up early and my face is swollen, especially around the eyes. I have not begun to peel yet. I will continue to wash and keep moistened with the ointment. This is not for the faint of heart.
