Botched Cancer Surgery - Savannah, GA

Megan did the repair work after my Mohs procedure....

Megan did the repair work after my Mohs procedure. She said she was using a technique that would heal evenly with little to no scaring. Not only did it not heal without scaring but now have a lump on my neck due to her "special" technique. She has no bedside manner, also as I was nervous after all the previous operations and she didn't seem to care. I was just another cog in the mohs surgery assembly line.

I would very much like to see you back in follow up to review your results. Cancer reconstruction can be very scary and frustrating for patients, and can sometimes take more than one procedure to accomplish all the reconstructive goals. I would never promise anyone 'no scarring' after any procedure, especially since our bodies heal with scar tissue, but it is always my goal to minimize the appearance of scars. If you are concerned about the appearance of your reconstruction I would strongly suggest you see either myself or another board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your options. I wish you all the best, Meghan McGovern, MD
