Day 5 vs day 25

Incision is very low I'm very happy with the results so far!

2 weeks post op

Went shopping today ! And posted a front pic .

This is literally the one of the two before pics I have of myself of the front belly! My main concern was from the side I would look pregnant ( as you can tell from pics uploaded on my previous update on day of surgery ) and the rolls of fat that I get when I sit down. Happy the flanks are gone !

I'm doing well can't stand straight still!
Went shopping today ! I always always bought pants that are high waisted which would be able to hold everything right together -today had the guts to try low waisted ones and I love it! Swelling is still there and I cant wait to see final results !!!

PO day 11- I'm in LOVE with my new body

I love how everyday I'm waking up tighter and with less swelling.
Tummy is super flat!!! Dr. Thomson is amazing !!!!

Posture-I'm walking straight but of course can feel the tighteness so sometimes I have to walk hunched to take a break.

Energy level - not so great,I feel like I was hit by a truck .i was supposed to go back to work next week but there's no way I can make it as I can barely walk few steps without wanting to sit and take a break.

Clothes fit but can't wear jeans yet as its too tight on the incision which is still very swollen and squishy.

I drove at day 4-don't recommend it though !!!! Cz if I had to make a sudden turn, then either I could've popped a stitch or fainted from the pain!luckily Sk people were driving nicely that day ;)

I resumed driving at day 10.
BM at day 4 with the help of Metamucil and some stool softeners which of course i still take.

Recovery ..well is a process . What I found out is that everyday doesn't get better or tougher.you just deal with a different thing everyday whether it's swelling, starting to feel the muscle repair tighteness, energy level vacation etc.

What I had to deal with-I have had an incident of H.Pylori 5 years ago which is a Bactria that causes stomach ulcers.
And it decided to visit my stomach again-possibly from the amount of Advil I was taking.
I blame myself from not mentioning this to my surgeon during my preop but I totally forgot since it was 5 years ago!

So day 7 was bad started with vomiting non stop for two hours. I had to go to the ER to help me stop vomiting because it was extremely painful and blood was leaking from the incision.
Spent 13 hours there !!!yikes.

Dr Thomson checked on me at the ER.Luckily nothing was popped! I was given medications to manage the nausea and H pylori.
I'm much better now and just excited to take it a day at a time! Will post pics soon Xo!
