Trouble in paradise

So I've had a bit of trouble along the road. 19 days after my surgery, I went to have my stitches removed, but my surgeon found trouble: my incisions were still kinda wet and fluid was coming out of my boobs. Apparently my body hasn't been that good at absorbing said fluid, and as it came out it kept the wound from healing. My doctor said I'd have to have the implants removed if this didn't resolve soon. I cried so much that day, you have no idea. Anyway, he decided to try and restitch my incisions in hopes that they'd close. This meant my healing process basically started all over again. The new stitches felt very itch but they were otherwise comfortable and nothing hurt. After this procedure I've been seeing my doctor every 2-3 days to see how it's going. Fortunately, the new stitches seem to have done the job! Two weeks later I got them removed and my skin seems to be healing okay. Today I got a very small stitch in one area that didn't look so good, but it's just in case because I've been travelling a lot for work lately. It's been stressful but I'm very happy that things worked out in the end. My surgeon said this was a somewhat uncommon complication of surgery (he sees a couple cases a year), but he's been very attentive and has taken care of me wonderfully. I'm very grateful for it.
I wish I could add pictures for this, but I've been bandaged the whole time and never did see what was going on. Sorry!

Some pre-op pics

Here are some pictures of my old boobs inside a 32D bra that was waaaay too big. As you can see, I couldn't fill the cups at all. This is the bra that I took to my consultation in order to determine the size of my implants. I fill it quite nicely now - will take some pictures when I'm back home (on vacation now!)

I got liposuction in my abdomen and a BA at the same time. I didn't originally mean to enlarge my breasts, but some people commented on it when I told them about lipo, and it made sense. I have never liked big boobs, but I thought I'd like to have a decent cleavage without the help of push-up bras. I took a bra in a size 32D to my doctor (this was my usual pre-surgery size, although cups were always slightly bigger) and he suggested 250g and up for my silicone implants.
I tried on a lot of small sizes, and had decided on 255, but then I thought again and chose 285 in my second visit.

Surgery was OK. My chest hurt a LOT immediately upon waking up from general anesthesia, but afterwards I only had discomfort when moving my arms or trying to sleep on my side. I had a drain installed on either side of my chest for 4 days after surgery. My surgeon ended up placing a 255g silicone implant on my left breast and a 310g implant on my right as to even out their sizes. They felt big at first, but now that I'm not as swollen they feel perfect.

I've had some complications down the road, which I'll explain in my next post. Also pictures :)

My doctor is awesome. He's funny and explained everything to me in detail before surgery. He's also respected all my wishes in regards to the end results. When complications arose, he became very attentive and caring, which I very much needed at the time. He does surgery at one of the top clinics here in Chile and I always felt safe.
