Two weeks post and SOOO Happy

All is going great. It's really like I never had implants. I have no pain and have had no pain from the under-the-muscle removal and capsulectomy. I look so much better - less heavy in the chest. And the only comment I"m getting is, "You did something new to your hair," which I did. I got bangs. lol.

But all the concerns I had about buying new bras and wondering if people would notice and how to dress to hide the new me - is all irrelevant. And except for the first few days, I've pretty much done some exercise every day. Mostly hiking for about 45 to an hour.

And today - two weeks and two days out, I rode my bike. A little sore under my right arm where the drain was placed. Doc said to expect that. I thought yesterday I might even be close to being able to do some upper body workouts - but I could tell I"m not quite there. So, I'll follow orders and wait for one more week before I start back to real workouts.

But truly one of the best decisions of my life. :-)

A funny story...

So last night I was getting ready for my date with New Guy. About an hour before he was to show up a couple of guy friends, passing by dropped-in to hang out for a bit. One of the guys is someone I dated before. He's a former model and VERY body/looks aware. So after receiving the text that they were swinging by, I, in five minutes, rip out the velcrow (sp?) curlers, wash off the green exfoliation mask, quickly take off ugly compression bra and replace with one of my cute former bras (which still fit, btw, but without the ridiculous top heavy boob sticking out of them), put on a cute tank and open the door. No make-up but feeling sexier than I've felt since getting that boob job five years ago. "Hey..." I say, acting all casual and dying to see what someone who has no idea of what I've been through notices.

Body Aware Guy says, "Wow, you look great!" "Thanks!" I say. He keeps looking at me. "You really have been working out a lot more or something..." Then a few beats later he says, "You've lost A LOT of weight." "Yeah, a bit..." I was dying to respond, " Actually, I'm down 1.9 pounds." (I know that because while in recovery I asked to see my former bears and then asked them to weight them for me. lol).

So anyway, up until then, I had only seen friends who knew about the procedure, so it was awesome to see the response from someone who notices breasts and had no idea of what I'd been through. And it also serves as validation about how much better we all look as ourselves. Yay!

PHEW! Boob locked, loaded and in place!

My formerly mangled right breast fell into place over night! I'm soooo relieved and happy with the results! Woo Hoo! All done. Feeling fantastic. No need to see PS next week for revision effort. It happened all on its own. :-)
