“Aligners Prevent Proper Bite”

I got my first set on the 18th as well. The first few days were kind of rough but things seem to be getting better. Are you starting to adjust? It is a little weird having the plastic feeling in my mouth at times...and the bottom of my tongue became irritated...taking the trays out the first few times made me want to cry...but now that I have had them for almost a week I am adjusting. I am so glad I did not go with traditional braces! I can't imagine how much more it would hurt having that metal in my mouth at all times...not to mention most people have to do a double take when they find out I am waring them.

Yes, it is common for your bite to be a little out of place due to your teeth adjusting to the position of the aligners. Sometime near the last sets with your aligners, you will feel your bite adjusting back to where they should be. If that doesn't happen, make sure to inform your orthodontist about it. He/she may be able to fix it for you during your refinement stage.
