I will have my smartlipo procedure on 8/8/2012. My weight has always fluctuate, and I've had several pregnant rumors spreaded. YES, I look like I'm 5 months but only in the mid section. I looked into lapband, but was advised that my goals could be reached by exercising. While I do workout, My stomach always protrude.

Well, while visiting Cali I decided to make a change. I visited a doctor I found on the Smartlipo website. I decided to have my tummy done, and parts of my back. I'm a little nervous because the doctor said that she would TRY to help me achieve my goal. I told her i wanted my stomach flat! She was extremely patient, and answered all my questions. I was able to view pictures and speak with her MA who had the procedure done. While I am afraid, I think the doctor said "try" because she wants me to be realistic with my goals. I guess we're all human and in life there are no guarantees. Time will tell and I'll keep you posted. Thanks for sharing the stories...I think I've read them all : ).

I had my procedure yesterday 8/8. I was excited ans scared. The procedure took several hours. The doctor and nurse was extremely courteous. I didn't feel any discomfort until hours had pass and the procedure was ending. When prompted the doctor would give me more medication. I have 7 incision; 3 body parts work on. I feel fast asleep when I got home. I awoke to pain, wheich ended right after taking my medicine.

Today, I woke up in PAIN. Sitting down and standing up is extremely painful. I'm walking slow and don't have much of an appetite. After meeting with my doc, I was informed that I had a lot of swelling which is expected. She prescribe me more pain medicine and said she removed the maximum amount of fat from my body. I will upload pictures when I learn how : ).

Ok so it's been 5 days. I'm still sore and the areas treated are swollen. However, I do see a change! My back fat is nearly gone which makes me look slimmer. My lower stomach still has a large volume of fat. I pray it goes away. My doctor said it should shift upwards, but that doesn't make any sense, so i'll have to wait and see. Today I adjusted the post-op girdle garment; I made it tighter. This is in hopes that I'll slim down more and quicker. I'm trying to be patient, but I can't wait to see the final results.

Unfortunately I'm a lot more swollen than I was...

Unfortunately I'm a lot more swollen than I was before. My stomach feels like it's going to burst and it's still numb. The garment is tighter. It's day 8. I'm still taking antibiotics and pain killers.

Whoever said this process is easy is not telling...

Whoever said this process is easy is not telling the truth. The pain is horrible, and the lack of sleep from the pain made me crabby. In spite of all this, as of today 9/2 I've seen significant improvement. I noticed the soreness went away 8/26. I'm still swollen and numb in my stomach area. Pic coming soon.

Oh I forgot to mention, my stomach is not flat....

Oh I forgot to mention, my stomach is not flat. Hower I can see the shape has changed. I had such a large volume of fat, I think the results are realistic. I'll have to work out to get the rest off.

My tummy is looking great. The swelling is still visible, but no pain. Again it's not flat, but the contour looks so nice. Once the oreness went away, I began working out again. The doctor says 6 months, and I plan on working out whateva wasn't taken out. I feel much more confident already. I'm reminding myself to embrace the moments.

Hi there, I'm glad you came through your procedure okay and everything has gone well so far. Hopefully with the pain killers the pain will go away soon, but try and rest and take it easy! Please do keep us updated with your progress and I look forward to seeing your pics!
