2 Week PO & Breast Massage

Recovery is going well so far. Week two, still walking with a walker bent at the hip. My back aches at night since I'm still propped up and legs elevated. At my appointment, Daisy changed my dressings and placed Xeroform on my TT incision line. Also changed my dressing on my breast and she showed my level one of breast massage. Dr. Pousti looked at me and all is well. Until next week for my three week!

I forgot to mention, I stopped taking Perco and muscle relaxant after 10 days. I felt really good!!

1 Week PO & Drain Removals

I made it to 1 week!! Hali picked me and the kids up from the hotel and took me to my first post op. Vanessa came in and unbound me, which felt so great! She removed my pain pump right away which was empty. The tube was ask skinny as a needle and it didn't hurt when she pulled it out. Can't even tell where it was. Then she locally numbed around the drains with a couple small shots. This was uncomfortable since my drains were on my pubic bone area. She cut the sutures holding them and after two deep breaths, both drains were gone. it felt great it to be dealing with those drains and pain pump.

Then Cindy came in and cleaned up my TT incision area. Then Dr. Pousti came in and took a look at everything and everything was healing as it should be. He didn't do anything to my breasts. Just peaked and then the nurse bound me back up. I was given flowers and asked to be seen every week before I leave since I have 5 weeks post op before taking a 10 hour direct international flight.

I continued to keep bent at the hip to keep the incision small! Also no showering and keep everything dry. Dr. Pousti's orders!

5 DPO and a good reason for deep breathing

A minor hiccup in the recovery. I walked downstairs at the lobby and then I went back up to take a nap. When I awoke, I practically had a minor fever with chills. I took 2 Extra strength Tylenol and with Hali's and the doctor's office advise, to make sure I'm doing my deep breathing longer than I was. So, I started timing my deep breathing and holding for 5 seconds for 15 minutes, three times a day. Before that I was only taking three or four breaths. Not enough apparently! My fever went down and haven't any problems.

Wonderful and honest surgeon. Double board certified and such a consummate professional. Both my husband and I felt such at great hands based on his overseas communication, personable character, and previous work and the reviews of his patients on any review sites. His amazing staff were all great from Helen, Margie, Vanessa, and Heather who all personally worked us through the whole process. This says a lot of his professionalism and relationships that echoes through his office staff and patients.
