I was initially referred to Dr. Yoo by another...
I was initially referred to Dr. Yoo by another plastic surgeon because of the complexity of my case. I had had a prior cosmetic rhinoplasty from a well-known surgeon in San Diego and the results were botched to say the least. I spent a lot of money and while I wasn’t expecting perfection, I was hoping for an improvement, not to look worse! He offered to revise my nose, but I had lost confidence because of how bad it turned out and knew that revision surgery is more complex than the first one.
I was embarrassed on more than one occasion when people I hadn’t seen in a while asked me what happened to my nose. Maybe it’s just that I was self conscious, but I also used to see peoples eyes gravitate to my nose when speaking with them. It was awful.
I did a lot of research to find the best Revision rhinoplasty surgeon and went on several consultations. I felt that most surgeons that I met with either felt my case was too complicated or rushed through the appointment and just wanted to get me into surgery.
On the other hand, Dr. Yoo was calm, never seemed rushed, and above all listened to me. It’s easy to know almost immediately that he is a caring physician. He was knowledgeable and confident of the changes necessary to give me a beautiful nose proportional to my face. He took time to explain in detail every step of the process. You can tell he is meticulous with an artist’s eye.
Everyone in his office was so friendly too.
It was such a big choice and my first surgery was such a disappointment, I had decision paralysis for weeks. I was never pressured to move forward and this helped put me at ease. I have the type of personality that the more I’m pushed toward something, the less I want to do it.
I eventually got up the courage to move forward. I’m so happy with my decision. I love my nose. I went from wide, lumpy bumpy, and crooked to smooth, straight and elegant!
Surprisingly, I had very little pain after surgery (which was the only thing Dr. Yoo was wrong about) and only needed to take a few of the pain meds I was prescribed. It took a while for the swelling to go down, but its just so beautiful now, I couldn’t be happier!
I got a lot of compliments from friends and family who I told about my surgery. People I didn’t tell, never knew. The results are perfectly natural looking!
