Almost 2 weeks post op
I'm still in the surgical bra..I've pretty much weaned myself off of the pain medication & my breasts are softer, a lot less swelling but still a bit sore & painful to touch. My next appointment with Dr Pousti is this Thursday, keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the day I can get all this gauze & dressing taken off & hopefully be done with the surgical bra as well. Here are a couple of pictures of my breasts, as you can see still taped up. I really love the size & shape of them :) the only thing I could make a point of is the nipple placement is a little lower than what I expected, but still I am extremely pleased overall :)
I think I messed up :(
My 9 month old son has been away from me at his grandmas house since my surgery last week & I finally got to see him today. I was feeling really good & was so happy to see him that I picked him up a few times...it felt fine so I kept picking him up & setting him down. Now at the end of the day my breasts are very sore and I feel a lot of tenderness at the incision areas :( hoping I didn't mess things up. I'm going to call Dr Pousti & try to schedule my follow up appointment sooner so that nothing goes unchecked.

The drains are out!! I'm so happy & relieved of those yucky things! So as you can tell, I had my follow up appointment today. The process of getting the drains taken out was a just a little painful & uncomfortable, but it was over quickly. Sadly, I wasn't able to see my new boobs :( the gauze & surgical bra is still on until further notice...I am dying to see them!! It's been a whole week!! Grrr...
