How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I want to preface my review by saying that if you...

I want to preface my review by saying that if you are looking for an exceptionally well-qualified plastic surgeon who truly cares about his patients then you should schedule a consultation with Dr. Pousti.

I am 5'11'' 140 lb. graduate school student with size A asymmetric Tuberous Breast Deformity (constricted breasts). The asymmetry and shape of my breasts made me so self-conscious that, despite being a serious athlete (running and biking), there wasn't one day in the last 10 years that I didn't wear a padded bra. I am writing this review 3 weeks post-op and have never been more confident or happy with myself, all thanks to Dr. Pousti (see my separate review of Dr. Pousti below). I received silicone implants, 465 cc in the left and 435 cc in the right. My incisions were areolar to perform the lift and construction necessary to fix my Tuberous Breast Deformity.

His staff members are friendly, supportive and excellent at what they do. Since my surgery 3 weeks ago they have been in constant contact with me; making sure I have all of the medications I need, checking in to see how I'm feeling, answering all of my questions, and scheduling follow-up visits. I go back in a few days for my next post-op appointment, so I'll post more pictures then. The photos posted here are my pre-op, immediate post-op (in the OR), and 3 days post-op pictures.

I originally scheduled a consultation with Dr. Pousti for his credentials (top of his medical school class, plastic surgery fellowship done at Harvard, very experienced with Tuberous Breast Deformity, and double board certified). Within five minutes of meeting Dr. Pousti I knew that I wanted him to be my surgeon. His warm and compassionate demeanor combined with his expertise in the field was extremely reassuring and comforting during a somewhat stressful time in my life (having surgery during a short break from school). He truly listens to what his patients say and works very hard to help you achieve the look you desire. Rather than base implant size off of desired cup size, Dr. Pousti requests that each patient bring in a poster board with photos of various breasts that the patient likes (size and shape), and he uses that in the OR to decide what size implants to use. Since each patient body size and shape is different (I am 5'11'' and 140 lbs.) I believe his method is extremely beneficial. Had I went to another plastic surgeon who based implant size choice off of desired cup size I most likely would have ended up with smaller than desired breasts (since I am much taller than the average woman, and therefore, have a larger ribcage). If you are looking for a well-qualified plastic surgeon who truly listens to his patients then I strongly suggest you schedule a consultation with Dr. Pousti.
