Wouldn't See Anyone else for Breasts! - San Diego, CA

ORIGINAL POST

I've always been a small woman with large breasts,...

WORTH IT$7,500

I've always been a small woman with large breasts, but as I lost weight and started toning up, I realized I'd lost a great amount of volume from my chest - no thank you! My husband and I went to multiple consultations for a breast augmentation and lift with doctors from LA to San Diego; then I found Dr. Pousti. After our first meeting we knew without a doubt that this was the man to execute my surgery. He and the women who work in his office went above and beyond to make my experience as easy, painless, and comfortable as possible. They provided such a warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and inviting atmosphere - much different than other practices that left me feeling like they were too over rehearsed, insincere, and hungry for profit. I seriously can't say enough about Dr. Pousti and his staff; not only as professionals, but as people. I absolutely love every one of them. As for the surgery staff? Top notch! Everything went perfectly, until...

After about 7 1/2 months, one of my breasts decided to be stubborn and not drop the way the other did. I also had an issue with my areolas spreading (a benelli lift makes a full incision around the nipple area, whereas a BA without a lift only requires a small incision on the lower portion of the areola…so small you can barely see the scar after it heals). I want to stress that this had absolutely nothing to do with how the surgery was performed or any of the staff involved. It was simply an inconvenience that my body created for us. Almost two weeks ago, Dr. Pousti came to my rescue again - lowering the pocket of the breast that was "stuck", and also revising my areola scars/spreading. This time he used permanent sutures to ensure they wouldn't spread again. I've got a few more weeks before I can take off the steri strips to see my improved areolas, but I can tell you now that he very successfully dropped that one stubborn breast and restored my overall symmetry.

If I had to say one negative thing, it would be that I'm sad they no longer operate from their Murrieta location. It was so convenient! All that being said; if you are seriously considering breast surgery, revision, or even tummy tucks/mommy makeovers (I've seen some of his results, and I swear they're beautiful!), do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation with Dr. Pousti. He is the only surgeon I'll trust with my breasts.

It must have been a rather frustrating 7 1/2 months for you, but I am glad to hear everything worked out. I imagine you have some more healing to do, but when do you get to take off the steri strips? Keep us posted!

Dr. Pousti and I have both agreed to keep the steri strips on as long as I can. It's been two weeks, and I'm looking at another two to four to ensure that the scars will be as thin and secure as possible. While this means bath time only for a while, it's better than taking the strips off early and not getting the result we set out to accomplish.

I have heard of women removing the steri strips so soon...I couldn't agree more with you keeping them on longer. Hang in there and enjoy the baths while you can!
