Dr Pousti is a gentlemen, honest, caring,...

Dr Pousti is a gentlemen, honest, caring, compassionate and an excellent communicator, which are all qualities that describe an excellent surgeon. He has hired folks in his office that are like minded and exhibit the same qualities.

I am 47 years old, married attorney, marathon runner and bodybuilder. I am 5'1", 125 pounds.

I originally came to Dr. Pousti in 2010 after doing as much research on the Internet as I could and believe me I know about research. I was looking to replace my silicon implants [400cc's or so] that I'd had since 1992, which were over the muscle. There was nothing wrong with my prior implants per se, but gravity had taken it's toll and I was looking for extra large implants. Everywhere I turned I always came back to Dr. Pousti so I made the initial appt. Dr. Pousti and his staff were just as wonderful that first day as they have been through the entire process. I brought in photos of breasts I wanted, but was a little confused about cc sizes.

I had no idea what the cc's were for my current implants since it had been over 20 years. Dr. Pousti told me to forget about worrying about cc's because it was more about aesthetics. He sent me home that first day and asked me to take time to think about the surgery. I came back with even better photos. Even after that second visit Dr. Pousti sent me home to think about whether or not I really wanted the extra large breasts. He made me consider my profession, my running, bodybuilding, etc. I came back for yet another appointment and told Dr. Pousti I was ready to proceed and thought about everything he said. I can't recall how many of these appointments my husband was present, but Dr. Pousti talked with him as well.

He decided it would be best to do the surgery in sections. First, he did a lift. The surgery went great, but then a couple of weeks later I started having issues with the stitches because my skin is paper thin. During this time Dr. Pousti had me coming to his office every other day. Both he and his staff called me daily, sometimes twice a day to see how I was doing. Dr. Pousti even left me a message on the weekend to please call him on his cell phone, which I felt really bad about doing by the way.

Ultimately, after even attempting a skin graft, Dr. Pousti removed one of my implants. He told me on Friday if it wasn't better on Monday the prudent thing to do was remove the implant. I went home sobbing. My wonderful husband told me I looked and would look beautiful no matter what.

On Monday I went to see Dr. Pousti with my husband. He was in the room when Dr. Pousti pulled out the implant. I was still upset but Dr. Pousti reminded me that I needed to keep perspective and realize this was temporary, cosmetic, not life threatening and the best thing for my body. His words were correct and it woke me up. I'm an educated, intelligent woman and he gently but firmly reminded me of priorities. So, for a couple of months I wore a falsie on one side.

I had to wait for my marathon race to be over and then I had what I hoped would be my final surgery. I was super excited. I was finally getting the extra large breasts I wanted. The surgery went great and when I woke up -wow- I had about 980cc's per breast and they looked fabulous.

My breasts looked amazing, but I was in pretty good pain. The implants were really full but the skin was tight. Once again, Dr. Pousti and his staff called me daily.

Everything was going well until I over extended myself and ended up displacing the implant from under the muscle . My old implants which were over the muscle for 20 years left a pretty good size hole and I just moved it the wrong way.

Dr. Pousti tried to help me get it back in place, but ....next stop surgery -again. Don't get me wrong, I love Dr. Pousti and his staff, but I was over surgery. When his surgical nurse knows you by name it's a problem..lol. By the way, she's fabulous as well.

The second surgery went great. After the swelling decreased from the first surgery I told Dr. Pousti as long as you are going back in, could you fill the bags a little more. Well, the end result is approx 1180cc's..I think (it's over 1000cc's for sure) per breast.

It's been almost a year since my surgery. My boobs look phenomenal. They are big, round, full and symmetrical. They have dropped so nicely over this year. The scarring is minimal even though I had a lot of work. I've had no loss of sensation and no issues. I've continued to run marathons with my double (these babies aren't moving) sports bras and it's been great. My closet had to be cleaned out a bit. I went from a D/DD cup to an H.

I'm relaying my story because I had some hiccups along the way to get to the place I am today. I could not have had a better surgeon than Dr. Pousti. Yes, he and his staff are wonderful when things go absolutely according to plan. However, they were superior when we hit a few road bumps.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pousti and his staff.
