Post Op Appt Day 7

First appt after surgery.
First our car broke down on the way....NOOOOOO
I was so looking forward to the appointment and had so many question. More important I wanted the gauze and ace bandage that had been on for a week and stunk by now. Anyway I am assuming God did this to block me from something bad, right.
They saw me the next morning bright and early.
I got alot of questions answered. I was worrying about things I shouldn't. Whoever gave me the post op instructions made them too vague. Also the pharmacist who told me I could take Ibuprofen instead of Tylenol was WRONG!!! I had no idea that I couldn't have aspirin after the surgery.
Also I had called (several times) and spoke with an advice nurse about taking the ace bandage off because of how dirty it is and that it was not supporting anymore, I was told I have to keep it on no matter what or come in to have a dr re-wrap me....NOPE.. I was told I could have fixed it and look at them.
I am so happy of the experience at Kaiser. I had no drains and no stitches or sutures. My instructions are simple. Next appt is 6 months. In 2 more weeks (so 3rd week)I can stop wearing the sports bra 24/7 and I can ease into getting back to normal, slowly.
WOW that's it.

6 day post BR

Completely off NORCO - taking ibuprofen
Sleeping horribly
My breasts feel like someone is stabbing me with a staple (I would say needle but the feeling is thicker than that, the point)
The ibuprofen is taming the pain down enough to manage.
I feel gross, still in the same bandages and gauze. I have bathed everywhere but not THERE. I called to ask if I could put the sports bra on and she said no.
I am on my first outing !Yippee Just errands with the hubby. Went to BEVMO and he got all this fun beer and I got nothing (sniff sniff)
I am walking around holding my breasts to support them but I don't care what others think coz it feels so good to be out haha.

Breast Reduction - 5 Days Post Op

Oh the emotions.....
I had to get off the Norco, I hate how it made me feel, not like myself. I am almost 24 hours off the Norco and I am paying for it. I now feel like I have sharp almost staple or barb wire points of pain along my incisions. I have not felt that til yesterday, weaning off the meds. I thought I was not having pain and thought wrong. The meds were REALLY helping. I am not going back on them though. I am taking Acetaminophen every 4-6 hours instead. I think the pain is making more cautious and aware of my movements. Pain free, I was moving way too much.
Last night was not pleasant, I had pain, insomnia and restless leg syndrome.
I wound up taking my Acetaminophen, a Diphenhydramine and my "Restless Legs" homeopathic medicine and finally fell asleep after 11. This is very late for me.
I woke up feeling the sharp pains in my incisions took Acetaminophen and here I am.
Emotions are high, crying is not me haha.
I don't have my post op appt til Thursday... I wish it was sooner. The ace bandage around me is stretched out and not as tight and the gauze inside the bandage has dried blood all over it. (yuck)
I think I am going to reach out to my doctor, I want to make sure my dressings are okay like that.
