Post op appointment (forgot to post)

On Friday I had one drain removed and my doctor left the second to be safe. I was so upset but I can't hold it against him that he wants me to have the best recovery. I told him I had been laughing a lot and sneezed a few times too and that I had a tingly feeling go strait up the center of my stomach. After that, he proceeded to flick my stomach and my body reacted late. Something they forgot to tell me was that my sensory nerves may take 9 months to come back. I do still have feeling in my stomach but at times I feel like I have electric currents in me! It's really strange. Does anyone else feel that?? Also, my bruising is moving down my back and into my butt! So weird. Also, since I did get a breast lift with my TT they told me I would start wearing regular bras. I'm still sticking to sports bras because they did say the wire could rub my incisions and make my scars wider. For the sake of swim suit season let's not rush into regular bras. :) he did also say I could swim week 4 after my tape has fallen off and ALL incisions are healed. I can have sex starting week 3 (my poor husband) and, SUPER IMPORTANT!!!!, they (my doctor and his nurse) really urged me to wait until week 4 for waxing! Also, my drain holes would need to be 100% closed as well or just no waxing in that area.

I think that was all that happened at my appointment. My second drain is coming out tomorrow and I'm going to ask about belly button pain and swelling.

10 days post op- busy day planned for tomorrow!

I'm 10 days into this new self and I am getting quite comfy. Went to church today and then lunch. As if it wasn't hard enough for my
Husband and brother in law commenting on my speed, I had the worst time getting dressed for the day too! Surprisingly, I felt so fat. None of my pants zipped up. Someone tell me they will fit again... Please? All things considered, it was a successful day out. I'm walking "taller" and I ha little to no pain except when I stood from sitting for awhile. Showered alone again and now using the bathroom is like no big deal. Getting up off the couch and out of bed is still a challenge though!!

Officially one week post-op!!!

Yesterday was my first outing and it's not that excited; It's more exhausting then anything! I was moving slow yesterday evening and today too. I weighed myself against everything I have read not to and got disappointed. My doctor only removed 4lbs and for some reason I expected to be 20 lbs lighter. Here is my progress and I also am posted the bruising on my back since this wasn't really something that was communicated to me pre-op about what to expect. They said there would be bruising but I didn't expect this.

Dr. Decherd is the best! After interviewing 2 other doctors, his staff and him blew all the others out of the water.
