I had my follow up appointment yesterday and had both of my drains removed! It was not painful at all, actually she snipped the stitches and I turned to look out window so I couldn't see what she was doing and then she said, the drains are out. I didn't feel a thing! Dr. Decherd said everything is healing beautifully. He removed a total of 5.5 lbs and I had a 9 cm in my fashia (spelling?) That he corrected. He said I can already see the curve of your waistline and looks perfect. I'm so pleased with my results so far. I still get tired very easily and walk slightly hunched over and still have some swelling. I go back on Friday for a follow up, he wants to be sure that I don't have a seroma from removing my drains yesterday. Continued happy healing everyone!

Today is day 4 post op, definitely the best day I've had since surgery. I've slept most of the time but today I took a real shower and even put on clothes to go eat. I had a "leaky drain" moment earlier was immediately put through to the nurse Heather since the office is closed for the holiday. Heather explained sometimes what can happen with the drain and it doesn't happen all that often and what I needed to do to help with the leaky drain. Well it worked and has been fine ever since. I liked the fact that they after hours connected me immediately to Heather, that's very reassuring. I thought I'd for sure have to wait however long for her to call me back. I enjoyed getting out if the house to eat some salad and now I'm back home resting.
