2 wks Post Op! 550 HP Silicone unders. Blah phase! - San Antonio, TX

Hi all! I'm a little nervous about all this! I've...

Hi all! I'm a little nervous about all this! I've been debating a BA for the last 4-5 months now and hubby surprised me saying he wanted to get me boobies as a Christmas gift this year! I'm perfectly fine with my girls and self esteem I just would love to look more feminine and fit clothes a lot better- not to mention look good in a swimsuit!!! The thing I'm worried about is my weight and if it's going to be an issue with the operation or the outcome of my boobs? I have big thighs-lots of (muscle from military training/overall active childhood) and I have just the widest frame--broad shoulders wide rib cage and wide hips (no curves unfortunately). Also, I'm pretty short standing at 5'4". I've been looking around online and most women I see with BA's my height are thin petite and around 130 or less. (geez!) Lowest I've been is 140 in my adulthood. How important is weight-and with my weight should I be concerned about losing 15-20 lbs before even going in for a consultation?

Would appreciate your thoughts/experience!

Yay! Today I scheduled my consult- it will be Wednesday! I'm excited- the staff is super super friendly -both on the phone and over email! Professional and extremely helpful. I sent one of the receptionist a photo of my breasts and she was able to relay to the Dr. and give me immediate feedback on whether I needed a lift or not. Dr. said that I would not require a lift-didn't think I needed one. I let them know that I wanted Silicone. After seeing my photo he recommended silicone over the muscle. Great for me because it means faster recovery time and I also read that it's great for body builders and women that like to workout chest muscles. I understand the downsides of going with Silicone -especially with safety (rupture/breast abnormality detection because it will be above muscle) but I'm willing to take the risk. I decided to go with Silicone over Saline implants because overall I want a more natural feel. I don't want to look too big but I also want to be pleased. I'm not a fan of the larger incision due to the silicone implant but hubby said it isn't a big deal because it's not like I'm parading my bare breasts around for the world to see! :)

Anyway! POST OP is scheduled for Thursday the 27th and OPERATION will be FRIDAY THE 28th!!! Didn't think that it'd happen this quickly but honestly-if I don't do it now-I will likely put it off for years and years to come!!! WHY WAIT?!?!

Anyway! I was wondering if anyone else has a wider than average frame -chest? Interested to see how others' operations turned out! I plan to get to at least a large C/D.

Will keep you posted!

Hello again! Another day swarming the internet for info and reading BA stories! I'm wondering what my boobs will look like with silicone OVER the muscle. =/ Anxious for my consult on Wednesday. Hoping all goes well.

With more research I'm beginning to wonder if over the muscle is really the BEST option for me. I understand going over the muscle will mean less recovery-but really don't want that to be the difference between NATURAL looking breasts and totally OBVIOUS boob job! (EEK!)

I should probably wait to post again on WED after my consultation.

Up late again. I'm wondering how big I should go. I've been pretty set on a Small D. But now with further thought I'm thinking of a large C. I don't want to be disappointed though. I'm anxious for my consult/pre-op tomorrow afternoon! I really hope this cyst like thing on my right breast isn't a setback.

I will def keep you posted!!! I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Yay! It's really happening! I just finished my consult and paid off the 6000 for the operation!! Aaaahhh so excited! I got to try on the sizers and I definitely liked the 550s!! Go big or go home! I'm sure it won't look ridonkulous but I know I'm going to love them already! Dr. young was quick and to the point but that's ok I trust he knows what he's doing. The cyst wasn't an issue though.

Just completed my bloodwork now off to get my vitamins! More updates to come;)

I uploaded photos of me clothed with the 550 cc sizers on. They seem huge! I'm just going to go with it and not second guess. What do you think?

Well good PRE-OP afternoon to you all! :)...

Well good PRE-OP afternoon to you all! :) Tomorrow's the BIG DAY and I'm nervous as all gets! :( This is my first surgery EVER in my life! Today I watched them take my hubby's sutures out of a hand graft they did a couple weeks ago and it was tummy twisting :( I guess I should get used to this since I'm going in the medical field (EEK!)

I'm waiting for the call for my operation time. I am super nervous. I just found out that my PS almost always uses HIGH PROFILE so I'm anxious to know what HIGH PROFILE on my WIDE CHEST will look like (?) Especially now that I know i'm getting 550CCs HIGH PROFILE!! (???) I hope this doesn't give me the complete opposite look from natural and full I was looking for???? I think in the end I will still be satisfied. He likes to do the HP because there is less chance of rippling and won't protrude to the sides. Hmm?! So yeah! That's that. I've been taking my vitamins and have to head to the pharmacy to pick up my Meds! I can't believe it's really HAPPENING!!!

So as expected I am up! I've been cleaning and doing laundry and rearranging the house to make it easier for myself when I get home to recover. I'm hoping I"m prepared enough!!! I didn't get any fancy pillows, just going to play pillow hog- I'm sure the hubby will understand lol.

I have to be at the PS office at 9am!! I'm so nervous my tummy's doing backflips! :(

At the PS office. I guess they really wanted me to...

At the PS office. I guess they really wanted me to be here 9 sharp rather than 15-30 mins early? Guess the Military thing hasn't worn off lol. I slept ok last night. Woke up a few times and finally at 7 am to take my Ammend pill. Operation should begin at 10. Will be about an hour and then recovery. Should be done and out of here by noon!

I'm pretty calm right now. All the information overload has my brain on BLAH mode right now. It's now or never guys. I'm looking like a teenager this morning moccasins basketball crew socks, basketball shorts and a Nike zip up hoodie. No make up - super ashy legs because I'm not supposed to put on any lotions or oils. Oh my! Lol

See y'all on the other side!! Gotta go^_^

Hello all! I am on the other sideeee of Boobieland...

Hello all! I am on the other sideeee of Boobieland finally! It's late in the evening and I finally woke up! That anestesia took forever to come out but i'm glad because I slept through most of the day! Lets recap the day shall we?

So I was called back .

1. First they had me urinate for a pregnancy test.
2. Got me in a gown and started my IV on my wrist. I was so worried and having extreme second thoughts at this point. Unfortunately I passed out when she was halfway through my iv and pushing something through. LOL I was drifting away fainting asking her if this is what puts me to sleep for the operation lol. I guess I'm only one of a few who've ever passed out during an IV. lol

3. Met w/the Anesthesiologist and later Dr. Young. He marked me up and around 1015 I was wheeled over to the operating room where i was put into lala land for the operation! Woke up dazed and confused- they gave me something for the fainting and pain. Next thing you know i was in a wheelchair headed to our truck & heading home. I was asleep the whole time!

4. So home sweet home now with my wonderful husband who's been at myside catering to me :) He's been on top of my after care giving me my pain pills right on time. LOVE HIM!

5. So throats scratchy- Chest is sore and tons of pressure like I've got someone sitting on it. I'm taking it easy with the arms. they too are like jello. Tomorrow I get to take off the wrap and shower! I have my follow up a week from now! Hoping to have much progress by then!!

Today I get to remove the ace bandage and bra and finally take a shower! They look gigantic compared to yesterday! Also right boob looks way bigger than left boob. I hope they come out even :'(

Hello again! Today is treating me much better1 I took some Lunesta to help me sleep better. I woke up nowhere near as sore as I was the first night! I've been able to go the bathroom on my own. Incisions in my arms do a little spasm on their own randomly but It's all bearable. :) Hubbys doing a great job taking care of me.

I uploaded some pics from this morning when I took a shoer and they look almost like the ydid before. they're odd shaped to me. I wonder how they'll look if they fluff and drop??? Any ideas? Do you think I'm going to get bigger than this? They are High Profile Mentor 4000round silicone.

I have frankenboob. It's going to be a while before these babies drop I'm guessing. :(

Monday morning!
Well hello, all. I am up in bed now. Took my meds. Really beginning to dislike this surgical bra. Boobs aree still sitting pretty high. right one is fuller than left (naturally the right was fuller than left).

i am extremely bloated since Friday! Anyone have any remedies?

Woke up feeling like my implants migrated to my side under my armpits overnight. ;( not a good feel or look. I wore the surgical bra to bed and also slept on my back slightly elevated as instructed to. It could just be because the surgical bra was so uncomfortable? I'm going to upload pictures after I shower.

Another thing, I'm getting a new sports bra to wear because I think this one is too small and tight for me. Was real uncomfortable.

Well hello again! This morning woke up to some...

Well hello again! This morning woke up to some discomfort. I'm still very careful with making quick movements because they cause muscle spasms and I hate the tightness :( Definitely no fun! I discovered I needed to get a new bra because the surgical bra they provided was NOT the most comfy thing in the world! So hubby and I went sports bra hunting. I really wanted the Under Armor Front zip support one I have in my pictures above but the largest size they had was a Large at Academy and Sports Authority. We went to vicky's because I heard some ladies say they liked their front zip sports bra so we went and checked it out! I'm pretty satisfied with the comfort of this one. The one thing I don't like is the price. $53 including tax. :( I'm going to try to stick to this bra until I reach my max cup size.

I called the PS office about my swelling under the armpits and the receptionist seemed kind of annoyed by me and my question. SHe transferred me to my PS and he assured me swelling and bruising is normal and I could come in tomorrow for follow up if I wanted to. He's pretty cut and dry. I'm fine with that as long as the job's done right you know? And so far I don't have complaints. My incision tape is still pretty in tact for the most part. I still haven't had a BM. I forgot to grab some Ex LAX on the way home. Tomorrow I will for sure though.

Good night ladies!

Hello ladies! Today pain's been a bit more...

Hello ladies!

Today pain's been a bit more manageable than previous days. Still finding it hard to get up and out of bed in the morning. Sleep was alright. Boobs are growing overall-definitely a lot of side boob action. The tape where my incisions are are still in tact. I put on a shirt today with some help from the hubby. Went for a drive and ran some errands with him and I was just fine. No one seemed to notice I got them done (YAY!) I was more afraid of people hugging me too tight, thank goodness that didn't happen today either! This VS bra was much more comfortable I must say. Some women recommended I try the COOBIE bras online. I'm thinking of ordering some. They're pretty cheap too! :) (Cheaper than VS that's for sure!) Not bad looking either.

I"m anxious to go to my follow up appointment this friday. My PS doesn't seem like much of a people person. Still I can't wait to see what he thinks of my progress. Hopefully everything is on the right track.

I STILL haven't had a bowel movement! I am bloated like no other - I almost look pregnant! This is so bad juju! Going to get some exlax I heard that worked. Any suggestions?

Woke up feeling a lot less pain and discomfort it was a pleasant surprise!!! I'm now waiting for my follow up af my Ps clinic. I'm excited to see what they say and nervous at the same time. I will post pics later today!

Have a boobiful Friday!!!

First post op went great! Was real quick too. The nurse took out my stitches and then showed me how to massage them. First I massage pushing down on above the niple with opposite hand and other hand reinforcing the hand pressing down on the breast. Push down until it looks like my nipple is facing the ceiling (hold for 10 secs and switch). the idea is to push the implant's way to the lower pole to fill it out and hopefully bring nipple centered on my breasts. She taught me to push both the girls inward from the sides and holding each massage 10 seconds to get more cleavage. I've got to do this at least 4 times a day!

I"m feeling much better today! Even got some cleaning and laundry done! I've been working on my massages-even now as i update and surf the net :) I plan to do it as many times as I can during the day! I want these puppies to drop and fluff asap!

BTW I totally forgot to tell her I'm bloated and haven't gone in 8 days!! I took some Phillips Milk of Magnesia hour or so ago and am waiting for some results because some women are scaring me saying it could be serious and have me ending up in the ER! YIKes!! Sure don't want that now do we??!!!

Post Op Day 8 - Woke up with morning boob. Extra sore from massaging yesterday. Continued w/the massaging today. Real tired though. still bloated :( Feeling fat now ...sighs. Going to bed...

Yesterday marked 2 weeks post op for me! I am doing quite fine. I tried not taking the pain medicine a few days ago and that didn't pan out well because I started to feel stinging pain on my incisions. I found that taking them when I wake up and before bedtime helped me sleep better. I have morning boob every day! Some days worse than others but still, morning boob! I can't wait until that goes away! It's getting easier to deal with now. You definitely have to work on your abs pre op ladies! You will be thankful when you find you can't use your chest muscles. IT's even worse for transaxillary (armpit)) incisions because you can't use your arms at all! muscle spasm galore if you do! It's getting a lot easier for me in the mornings. I'm taking my Arnica as often as I can. Arnica Montana is a miraculous healer for bruises! I'm doing my best taking my vitamins and meds.

The one thing I did notice is the last few days I've been sleeping like crazy!!! I think it's partially to do with PMS though because I just got my period this morning. boo for me :(

Hubby and I go on a cruise next week! I'm excited but worried about my incisions. No swimming for me since I'm menstruating but I'm excited nonetheless! Weather in San Antonio has been pretty hideous lately! I'll be glad to get away from this boring family-less friend-less land that I've come to call home the last 7 months.

Toodles poodles!
