I had my upper eyelid surgery done on 01/22/2015. I’m not going to lie, I was terrified. But in the end, the whole thing was so easy. I had my procedure done under local anesthesia in Dr. Patel’s office. At first I was a little nervous about being awake, but it was no big deal. I used my pain medication for the first couple of days, but after that, there was no need. There was minor discomfort, but they mostly itched quite a bit. I would suggest using ice as much as possible. Not going to lie.. I looked like I had been beat up by a heavy weigh boxer, but that was gone in one week. Now almost 9 months later, I’m beyond happy with my results. I would do the whole thing over again.

I had interviewed several doctors in the Salt Lake Valley and about 10 minutes into my consultation with Dr. Patel, I knew he was the one would be doing my surgery. I think being a male I was so concerned with looking too feminine, but that was one of the first things he assured me that would not happen. His approach was very subtle, and his goal for me was to look “well rested”, and nothing else. I still continue to see Dr. Patel for Botox and I’ve had a series laser treatments with him. I trust this man so much and think he’s pretty amazing.
