5 weeks PO
Today I am 5 weeks PO and feeling great. I do have occasional swelling towards the end of the day, but nothing too bad. I'm still wearing my binder at night, even though I don't have to. It just makes me feel better to wear it...like I'm helping to control the swelling. I see my PS next week for my 6 week follow up.
22 days PO
I can't believe it's been 22 days already!! Everyday I feel a little better, which is great. Sometimes I have to remind myself to take it easy. I saw my PS on 6/15, and he said I'm ahead of schedule and to keep doing what I'm doing. He told me to start applying Mederma scar serum onto my incision site twice a day, so I've been doing that. I still feel fat in my lower tummy, but I'm hoping it's just swelling and it will go down. Although I've graduated to a compression garment, I still wear my binder at night in hopes it will help with the swelling.
11 days post op
Here's a pic that I took Sunday morning after my shower. I still feel fatter than before surgery and still can't wear anything but elastic waisted pants and big shirts on top. When I stepped on the scale at the PS' office right before I went into surgery, I weighed 116.8 lbs. I haven't even dared to step on the scale at home cuz I'm sure I wouldn't be happy with the number. I go back to work this Tuesday, so I'm not looking forward to the struggle to find something to wear. ????

I'm really pleased with Dr. Yamahata. He has personally called/emailed me whenever I had any questions or concerns. That alone speaks volumes of his character. Five months post op, and I'm very happy with my results. I'm still experiencing some normal swelling, but I love the new shape Dr. Yamahata has sculpted for me.
