Motivation - When I had my children I had achieved a weight of 200 lbs. I'm 5'2" and the day I walked in for my procedure with Dr. Kerr, I weighed 127 lbs. I didn't maintain a good weight during my pregnancies and I had 3 C-sections to deliver them. I had saggy skin around my abdominal area and my breasts were deflated from the weight gain and loss. I am at a wonderful weight now and was before my mommy makeover. I am active, energetic and a beautiful person, like every other mother is. Unfortunately, no amount of exercise helped to rebuild my abdominal wall, pull in the saggy tummy skin or make my breasts full and beautiful.

Pros - So far, my breasts are immediately more full, beautiful and voluptuous. They fill out bras and tops wonderfully and I enjoy the confidence and satisfaction it brings me to have them back to their pre-mommy era. At two weeks post surgery, I am also immediately enjoying a belly button that is where it is supposed to be and a midsection that is firm, tight and healing beautifully. I have no more additional skin and no large bulge from tired, worn out and separated muscles. I am me again.

Cons - As with any reward, comes investment. There will be a thin scar where I had the tummy tuck done. I will also have small thin scars under the fold of my breasts. I was and still am sore and I haven't worn my favorite high heels in 2 weeks. I consider my down time as investment time. I'm making the investment now, temporarily, and the return on my investment will soon come to pass and be far more long term. Be sure to give yourself enough time to heal, eat and slow down.

Outcome - I will update this review in a few months and add pictures, but so far, my outcome is uber happiness. I could not be more satisfied with my decision, from what procedures to undertake to the specialist I chose to help me. When I read posts, trying to decide for myself if this was the right decision for me, I would read others' comments like, "You'll be so glad you did it!" I wondered if that were true. I can tell you two weeks post-op that they were spot on. There's no reason not to follow through on something that will bring you happiness and over all better health.

I'm ringing in the holidays with a wonderful new body, a youthful look on life and a sexy sweater!

Dr. Mahlon Kerr performed my procedure. **He was also the ONLY ONE who did not badger me about all the things I needed to do. His office did not require me to pay an upfront fee just to talk with me about my options and answer my questions. Vlasta is the office manager and if you EVER saw her not smiling, you'd be the only one. She is happiness on wings each and every single day without fail. She also makes you feel as though she has all the time in the world to talk with you or help you. **On my first visit, Dr. Kerr spent over half an hour talking with me. then during the assessment he actually declined a few things I thought may need attention. I asked about lipo and he just came right on out and said, "Nope, you don't need it." Now, he could have said, "Sure you need it, let's just do that too," and collected more money for an unnecessary procedure. I was willing to do it if, in his professional opinion he thought I should, but he was honest and he put my needs and health before a paycheck. He took the time to teach and guide me and earned my trust before he ever asked me for a dime. I had high expectations for my doctor and he exceeded it. **We went over pros and cons, we went over options, we talked about end goals and we went over pricing. We even went over what may or may not happen 10 years from today and what was done in cosmetic surgery decades ago. **The morning of my surgery, Dr. Kerr walked in at 6 a.m. with a smile and we talked about BearPaws, which is the machine you'll see by the side of your bed when you get there. It gives you personal air conditioning or heating, among other things. Ask him about it. :) **That night he called to check on me. **The day after surgery my extended family at Synergy welcomed me in, gave me a cup of coffee, checked me out and I went home feeling supported. **Today I got some stitches removed from my belly button. It was 6 p.m. and everyone in the office was just as chipper as they were when I would see them at 9 a.m. I talked with Dr. Kerr about my visits and in all honesty, was a little sad when I realized I wouldn't be back for a while. I'm healing and well on my way. **Don't settle for a doctor that you are not comfortable with, who doesn't treat you as though you are welcomed and valuable and requires payment before you even step foot in the door. You don't have to settle at Synergy. When you walk through and see the rewards that Dr. Kerr and Synergy has earned hanging on the wall, you'll know they were well deserved.
