I had eyelid bags for the past 5+ years. People have routinely asked my if I was tired or sick. I did the procedure with the intent of correcting it.

I had lower eyelid surgery 10 weeks ago. The swelling persisted for the first 8 plus weeks. Now I have a minimal amount of swelling remaining. I also have a "wrinkling" of the skin below my eyes. In addition I have recently begun to have right upper eye/ eyeball selling beginning every day.

It has been a very difficult recovery and I would not do it again. I am only 37 years old and has drastically impacted my life. I am hoping over time it will improve.

My doctor has recommended a light chemical peel for the skin and has told me not to worry about the eye swelling. Does this seem proper?
