40 years old, 2 kids, married and mushroom top
Recovery from my tummy tuck and liposuction was not as bad as I expected it to be. I had a c-section with one of my children so it was kind of like that. I was uncomfortable but not in horrible pain. Everything was managed with pain meds.
My procedure was around 5 hours. When I woke up I was quite nauseas so they gave me more meds for that. In recovery I was still nauseas so they gave me more meds. I had to pee alot after the surgery since I was flushed with fluids. I gagged a couple times in recovery and once when I got home but that was it. Once I was in my own bed I felt better. The first night at home I was up and down all night, having to pee and couldn't get comfortable. I did not like the drains. I had one o each side. They had to be dumped out and measured every 12 hours. I was very happy once they were removed. One came out a week later and I think the other one came out a week after that. I had gingerale, water, saltines and graham crackers the first night I was home. My mom stayed with me for almost a week to help me and to help me with the kids. My husband is a doctor so he had to work. The next morning I had eggs and tea and toast. Started to feel more human again after the food. Each day I started walking around more and each day I was able to stand up straighter and walk better. I had one of those grabby things to use if I dropped something. You are really not supposed to bend a lot so I tried my best not to. I did not lift a thing until I was allowed too.
Slowly but surely I got my strength back but was surprised how much you use your core muscles for certain things. The first time I went to the supermarket it was exhausting to push the cart around, but I managed. When I did too much my body let me know and I just rested. It was a long recovery process but well worth it, I am so pleased with the results. As for scarring, I do have a scar and its minimal, I was religious with the scar gel. I don't mind the scar, I'd rather that then a mushroom top!

Dr. Soni is absolutely amazing! From the first office visit I knew he was the one that was going to do this surgery on me. I also had liposuction with the tummy tuck. A true miracle worker and perfectionist. My body looks like it did before kids. I'm thrilled with the results and you will be too!!!
Provider Review
I met with 3 plastic surgeons in the area before deciding to use Dr. Soni. He is very personable and such a nice person. He also put me at ease. I was very nervous to do this procedure but he reassured me that all would be ok. It was. It wasn't half as bad as my c-section. He truly is the best! His colleagues, nurses and patients rave about him! I gave him a big hug when I saw my before and after photos. I've never felt so comfortable in my own skin.
