Three weeks post op
Well it's been awhile! I have been busy enjoying my winter break, but alas...this is my last week before classes start up again. I certainly hope that a good amount of progress will be made with my pain/healing this week because with the start of class comes clinicals!
Anyway, I have been doing really well aside from nerve pain. Just the slightest touch anywhere on my boobs (except my nipples lol) hurts! It's like overly sensitive. I know it's a good thing to be having this pain because it means the nerves are doing their thing but it sucks! One of the doctor's that I work with in the ED wrote me a prescription for neurontin to see if it will help lessen the pain I'm having. I am also still taking ibuprofen. I ran out of my percocet and my back up bottle of vicodin isn't doing anything for me. I'm mostly back to my regular routine, aside from lifting excessive weight and reaching too far for things. I am healing wonderfully. In fact, when I got my tape/glue stuff removed at 13 days post op, my incisions were all pretty much closed aside from a few small areas. Those areas are scabbed over now but of course I'm still really paranoid of infection and necrosis! I inspect them daily and switch bras every day. The only concern I have (any maybe it's nothing) but on the side that I didn't have as much bruising, I have this large area that looks bruised (like almost half the side/beneath my boob). I went from having no bruises at all to having this huge area looking bruised. It's very slight, so it's not like it's dark or that noticeable, but it is also pretty hard to the touch. Is this normal? The rest of that boob feels relatively normal, but that particular area is hard/firm. In the pictures, it's the boob with the tattoo that got messed up, lol. We will be discussing tattoo removal once I'm healed! You may have to tilt the screen on your laptop or computer back a bit to actually see the area I'm talking about.
Anyway, I work night shift for the next three nights so I have to go get ready for work. I'll leave some pictures here. I'd love some feedback from anyone that's willing to give it as to whether "late bruising" is normal. Have a great week! I'll probably be on later tonight.

Days 5-7
Sooo I have been busy. Feels like I've been going nonstop and today I'm paying for it. I'm laying in bed with cold gel packs stuffed in both sides of my bra, my goodness it feels amazing.
Monday I had my first post op appointment. It was short and sweet and he said they're perfect. Next Monday he will remove the tape and all that junk, so I'm eager to see them without all of that! He told me he removed 7.5 pounds of boob!! I can't even believe that. I am so thankful. I have also graduated from the awful surgical bra to a supportive but stretchy spandex bra or sports bras. Today though I think the girls are missing the feeling of being compressed and not having as much freedom to move around. I can't wait to show the family the new me tomorrow for the big Christmas get together. I'm also very glad that my hubby is pleased with them and is happy with the size (or so he says).
I'm posting some pictures here now. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and I'll update sometime in the next few days!

Four days post op
Already in love with my new girls, even though they aren't done dropping or swelling or healing. Just in the last couple days they've gone from having a large-ish space between them to being just about near perfect! I'm still very bruised on the sides and having some itching between my boobs where the glue stuff is. I also truly hate wearing this surgical bra because it is SO dang tight! I have to keep pulling it down it seems. Anyway, here are some pics for today. Im doing this more so that I have a record of looking back and seeing how things progressed day by day, so sorry if you get sick of the daily posts!
