Orientation

Happy Friday To All...

I went to my orientation yesterday it was a group orientation for 3 1/2 hours very informative. I have questions that I will ask when I have my 1 on 1 consultation.

I now have an appointment with the surgeon for Monday Feb. 2nd...

At the orientation we were given a binder and one of the speakers was the dietitician that gave us a 1200 calorie a day pre-op plan. If I understood her correctly she stated there wouldn't be a 2 week liquid diet.

And my question is the 1200 a day calorie intake required or suggested, because I was planning on cutting out carbs and sweets and doing a meet and vegetable regimen. Again I will ask that of the surgeon on Monday.

It was a little overwhelming, because in my head (which could be dangerous, lol) I was planning on starting to lose weight after the orientation and I got more information. I kind of got the feeling I should have started trying to lose weight once I was referred for the WLS..

Just updating on how my orientation went and how I felt afterwards.

Have a good weekend.

Peace and Blessings

Hi everyone, I've been following you all for a...

Hi everyone,
I've been following you all for a couple of months now. And even though I'm not good at posting and or writing, I feel it's only fair that I give some information about myself.

I'm scheduled for my 2nd orientation on 1/29/15 with the weight loss team. I'm told I will be leaving with an one on one appointment with the Dr, nutritionist, therapist or someone.

My motivation has been lower back pain and not waiting to be diagnosed with diabetes or heart problems whice runs in my family. The weight loss will be a bonus.

I'm 52 and at my heavest weight to date (not brave enough to give you the weight yet). And I already have high blood pressure and cholestoral.

I've tried diets and only to gain the weight back.

I'm rushing because I'm at work (don't judge me)...and as I said I'm not much of a writer.

Just getting my feet wet.

Looking forward to taking this journey with you all, and thanks in advance for all the feed back.
