2Month Tape Reaction
Switched from nice Silicone Tape to 3M paper tape as I was instructed by my Dr. To tape for 4/6 months if possible to reduce the scar from stretching. Liked that idea as it gave the newly created scars a little extra protection. Well I guess the sensitive skin was not happy with new adhesive- within 4 hours of the new tape I was on fire- the scar lines itched were very red and upon another shower to loosen up the tape, I was in tears due to tons of tiny blisters like 2nd degree burn all around nipples and vertical scar line.
Spoke to Dr, - a reaction to the adhesive. I used diaper rash cream A&D for the first 3 days, then switched to neosporin. The scar lines pealed 3 times... the worst thing to happen and actually that has been the most painful part of the reduction. Still love the results, they are more DD then D but weigh NOTHING, don't even notice, shoulders are so happy and 3 months of NO HEADACHES.

Everything is healing nicely. No openings swelling is very minimal and really only have a little after walking a few miles.
Per the Dr. I am to keep taping on stitch lines to mimize scarring. Just ordered today some silicone tape from Amazon that was highly rated.
Bra fit is still an issue as all bands want to rub on the little curved scar under breast. Size at this point is a 34dd which is still busty but my gosh they now weigh nothing! I don't even realize i have them.
I am beyond happy with the decision and the results have far surpassed my expectations.

2 weeks post-op
Feel a little run down each afternoon as i only took 9 days off to rest. But honestly was going to go crazy just watching TV and reading. Overall i have had zero pain with recovery.
Well getting the drains out was rather intense uncomfortable feeling, but nothing like the pass out pain others described. A few long breaths and then one very long intense exhale. Once they were out the feeling was instantly back to normal.
I have had a hard time finding a comfy bra as i am long in the torso and all sport or lounge bras i have found do not have straps that i can make longer so the band just rides up to the stitches.
I'm crafty so this wknd i hope to have time to do a little shopping for a fix.
Steri strips all still on so i can't really fully see the new gals, but i am so HAPPY. I have not had a tension headache since surgery. The weight removed was left 680 grams and right 645... ladies that is almost 3 pounds. AWESOME. .. :)
