“Restylane made my lips so hot!”

Lip augmentation: Worth it

Cost: $400
Pain: Painfree
Lip augmentation satisfaction: Excellent5 Star Rating: Excellent

I was completely nervous prior to the procedure as I'm a pretty big wimp when it comes to pain, and I'd been somehow happening on a lot of negative reviews of Restylane the night before my procedure. The pain was the only thing that I was afraid of going in to the treatment.

My doctor was AMAZING! He was completely understanding that I was afraid of experiencing discomfort, and he gave me a dental block/freezing prior to the treatment. I received 5 freezing injections in total, which I completely didn't even feel. I honestly did not feel any discomfort during the procedure as my mouth was completely frozen. I only felt the very last injection on my bottom lip in the middle, since the freezing had started to wear off, but it was truly very minimally uncomfortable. I felt the needle go in, as well as the Restylane go into my lip (which burned a bit) but nothing unbearable.

My lips look HOT... hotter than hot.. ! I am completely in love with them and would do this procedure again in a second! My rating on Restylane: A++++++ !

Can I ask where you went for this/what doctor you used?!! I currently live in Manhattan, I've never had any type of injection treatment/augmentation and am looking to have my lips done. I would love any and all recommendations I can get. Thank you!

I've had my lips augmented with Restylane and Restylane Lipp, several times over the last 3 years, with consistently excellent results. First timers should be aware that as you are injecting into a sensitive and highly vascular area, there will be swelling and bruising. Plan on your lips looking a bit odd for 3 or 4 days, maybe even up to a week. There is always immediate swelling, so expect to leave the doctor's office thinking your lips have been "over-filled". Additionally, try to do it over several visits if possible, rather than trying to get it right on the first try. It's much easier to add more than it is to remove! For financial reasons, many people are forced to try to do it all in one go, which is more likely to result in unevenness. Finally, be aware that there is a limit to how much you can inject and still look natural - and this limit is different for everyone. NEVER inject past the point where the natural wrinkles in the lip skin smooth out - that is a dead give away that you've used fillers. If you have very thin lips to begin with, it is impossible to achieve a huge pout! Think of women with bra size A who get implants to DD - yes, you can squeeze an implant into that small a breast, but the result will be a pulled-tight, hard looking breast. The same goes for the lips...
