Restylane: Worth it

Cost: $500

Restylane satisfaction: Excellent5 Star Rating: Excellent

I'm a 52 year old female and after loosing 10 lbs 2 years ago from cancer surgery, I have never been able to gain the weight back in my face which caused very deep labial fold between my nose and mouth. I didn't look 52 anymore, I looked 62!!! I hated the way I looked suddenly after being considered a pretty woman all of my life.

Today I got Restalyn for the first time and it's wonderful! Those folds are now gone and it took 10 years off my face.
I wanted Restalyn before trying longer lasting products to see how I would like the look without it being too permanent and to also judge whether my doctor would do a good job.

I was injected with a Novocaine type product to numb the area and it was no worse than having the same done at the dentist. I bit of a quick sting and it was over.
10 minutes later, he was done and when I looked in the mirror, I didn't know if I liked it or not simply because my upper lip was dropping as well as the side of my right nostril. But that was from the Novocaine...not the Restalyn.

An hour later I looked in the mirror and about cried...there was my 40 year old face!
OK, now I'm a junkie...I just know it. I love it!

The cool thing is that I don't look plastic, or even like I've had anything done. Dr. {edited} in Lynnwood, Washington did a fabulous job! He also did my breast implants recently and I am delighted with them as well.

So I will continue to research to see which "step up" product I would like to try that lasts longer...Juvaderm? Who knows.... I'll keep looking and questioning until I make a decision.

I visited this site about Restalyn before opting to get it. I saw many posts about lumps and bumps under the skin. Dr. {edited} calmed me about this, saying that Restalyn is a gel that can actually be moved around a bit by the patient if need be. So that at least gives me some control. He has had no incident of serious lumps in his practice so I feel very confident.

Hope my story helps some of you make up your minds. I'd do it again in a heart beat and plan to!
