It was so frustrating that I was in my 40s and dealing with acne and roseacea. The Dr. & his team came up with a multi-procedure plan for me - IPL treatments, Accutane (covered by insurance) and Retin A. After a combination of all 3 of these at different times, I have been getting compliments all the time that "I look younger" or "you skin is so pretty and smooth"

Thanks for sharing your story. Did you experience any side effects from Accutane? I've heard it can really dry out your skin.

My skin was really really oily so it helped to dry it out. And yes, I experienced some flaking etc. I would moisturize in the morning and at night. I used Aquafor on my lips and that really seemed to help. My forearms got really dry too -- just put on moisturizer and I was good to go. It was sooooooooo worth putting on extra moisturizer for 6 months - for the end result!
