After losing 55lbs around 10 years ago, I thought I was finally happy with my body weighing 160lbs at 5'9. My arms were my biggest concern at that time and i really wanted to get them done. without doing much research about complications or scarring, i booked my arm lift and had it done. i was excited at first but as time went by, i realized that the sag was still there and the scars were awful. i have been wearing long sleeves ever since. Then got married and had 2 kids back to back and ended up losing more weight, coming down to 140lbs. My whole body looks awful. Aside from the scars left from the arm lift 7 years ago, I have deflated breasts that look empty. My thighs and stomach aren't pretty either. After several consults I decided to go with dr. Joseph Capella, with whom I felt most comfortable with. Other doctors suggested targeting the thighs first and then going through the rest of the body. Dr. Capella showed me that in order to target the lower body, the abdomen buttocks and thighs have to all be lifted simultaneously, hence the lower body lift. One thing that did surprise was that he said it is very common to do all the procedures at the same time, which I didn't expect and was not prepared for, financially or otherwise. But he assured me that people do this every day and are ok. I hope he isn't wrong. I have taken my before pictures and will post them side by side as soon as I'm able to do so after surgery. Any advice for recovery?
