2 Week Update

I had a follow-up appt yesterday with my doctor and everything is looking great! My belly button is looking much better, so that's been a relief. I have no pain from the tummy tuck - just discomfort after being active. My breasts are still sore but slowly getting better. Overall, my doctor was happy with the way things are progressing.

My husband and I were so happy walking out of the office. With most major restrictions being lifted, it's starting to feel like life is getting back to normal. (Side note: I can't stress enough the importance of a supportive, loving husband during this process. He's been such a blessing.)

I was given guidelines for resuming exercise, so I'm going back to the gym on Monday and am excited about this. I'm also going back to work on Monday. For the first week, I'm staggering my days so that I don't get too tired. I'll only be working 3-5 hours per day next week just to play it safe.

Necrotic Belly Button?

My belly button is kinda dicey right now. It's dark gray/black and hard, but my doctor looked at it Tuesday and said he thinks it will end up being okay. I'm putting Neosporin on it with gauze every day, but I'm still a little worried. I don't want to lose my belly button!

1 week post op!

Seven days post op! It's been a mixed day. I got my last drain removed, and getting those things out has been wonderful. My tummy tuck recovery is going great. I have no pain, just mild discomfort here and there. And I'm really pleased with the results.

However, my breasts are a completely different story. They HURT. PAIN. I know they're still swollen and yadda, yadda, yadda. But my boobs are the reason I'm still taking narcotic pain meds. Otherwise, I'd already be able to switch to Tylenol. I wake up with sore boobs and go to bed with them. Tomorrow, my plan is to do NOTHING. Use my arms for working on my laptop and nothing else and see if that makes a difference.

In the meantime, here are some comparison pics. The swelling in my tummy has decreased A LOT and continues to go down more each day. Love seeing the progress!
