Not Worth It
Spent: $900 in Massachusetts, USA
I had Radiesse injections for my smile lines. I came across this site in search of help of how to dissolve it or any way to have it removed. I'd gladly pay 3 times more(on top of my loss) to have it removed. Actually more if I knew it would be successful. I've had my fair share of cosmetic "treatments". I love my options. But this is horrible! The bad part: when i smile it feels as if I'm fighting against the filler(like my smile is being pushed back down). The horrible part: the filler spread under the corners of my nose, one side more than the other causing my nose to widen. Yes, I look like a Monkey! The pressure from the filler at the corner of my nose fells like I have a big pimple trapped under my skin. AS far as the filler around my mouth it's hard to really tell but I think it may add to my monkey look. I've had procedures in the past that i've regreted because it was a waste of money. I wish my concern was the money! I would be thrilled to death if that was my complaint! I'm going to continue my search for help. If you come across any info you fell may help me, PLEASE let me know. Thank you and I hope I helped you!

Did you just had this done a couple of days ago? I just had mine done on the 25th and had the same results you did. The monkey look. I almost lost it when I woke up the next day. It as quite alarming. And I had had this done before with very good results by another provider, so I nearly freaked. The current provider has injected Juvederm on me before with great results, so I trusted her. This time however I have my doubts because it looks like the injection has changed my face structure not drastically but considerably. I went back to see her yesterday and she reassured me it was the swelling, that the product was not lumpy (which it isn't) and that it should go down. This is the third day and I again startle myself at the reflection of the mirror... People are not commenting on it, but I run into someone today who didn't recognized me. She said I looked different. And note she didn't say I looked great... so... I am worried too...

Here is a follow up. On the third day after the injection the swelling finally started to go down. And now, almost a week after the treatment I finally feel like myself again. And no laugh lines! I hope this lasts because it does look better than before. The injection by the eye looks good too. I don't look as tired as before. BUT there was a lesson learned here: it was terrifying to see my face like that. I didn't look like myself. It was CRUCIAL that I knew the place where I had it done very well and that I trusted the people there. I would recommend to EVERYONE NOT to just jump into something like this. Try the place out first with less invasive treatments. Then once you build your confidence in the technicians, try Radiesse.
