Radiesse Not Worth the Complications

Not Worth It
Spent: $600 in Houston, Texas

I had Radiesse injected (from the inside of my lip) for my “smile lines” over a week ago  and I am miserable. I have a black eye on my left side. On the right side, I still have numbness from below my eye to the top of my lip.

I also have a dry red “blotch” to the right side of my nose (about the size of a dime) that is finally healing.  Any benefits I may eventually see from this product are not worth all of the complications.  The Dr has agreed to refund my money, but even for free it is not worth it.

My Doctor: Name not provided

I feel that his lack of experience with this product may have contributed to my complications.

Hi Ritarun, some complications will occur to a small number of patients, it does not mean that the doctor did anything wrong. However, do not let this discourage you, Radiesse is a good product. The next time (yes, next time)you consider being treated, go to a different medical provider (MD, PA or NP)who can show you their patient's before and after pictures ( important: not internet or brochure pictures). and explain to them that you do not want to be injected from inside the lips. I don't believe that this technique causes fewer bruising or needle complications. Good luck next time, remember; experience is the key, at least 5 consecutive years injecting. PA Clarke.

I am so sorry your experience with Radiesse was not a positive result. I have had Radiesse 2 times over the past couple of years and I love my results and I did not have any pain with both treatments. Don't rule out the product just yet, may be try a new injector.
