After wearing invisalign for 5 months, I began to experience pain in my upper molar. To my dismay, I had a large cavity that required a crown. I strongly believe that wearing these plastic coverings over your teeth creates a perfect environment for bacteria to thrive, thus causing a cavity. I had not had a cavity in more than 10 years. Aside from that, the main purpose was to align my bottom middle teeth which look exactly the same as day 1. I am so disgusted with the whole experience, the inconvenience that it causes when you are out and about. The person that did benefit was my dentist who recommended it to me and said I was a perfect candidate. I don't recommend invisalign to anyone as it is too costly to have such disappointing results.
