Im 4 weeks post op and have no drains in. Since the drains have been out I've noticed a lot more swelling. I've really not had much up until now and Im kind of discouraged. Are there any other women out there who are experiencing this? Im wondering if a binder would solve the problem but my doctor doesnt believe in them. HELP

I'm contemplating a tummy tuck or possibly a "mommy makeover." Thanks for relating your experiences. I wasn't really nervous. I thought "I've had a c-section before, I can handle it." After reading about your experiences I'm a little worried about the pain now. It looks like the last time HKG posted was in Feb 2011. How are you feeling now?
Hi,
I have surgery booked with this doctor on April 9th. I am so worried and excited at the same time. How are you doing now? I see your surgery was a year ago. Did your scar heal up nicely??

I had a mommy make-over on January 20. I had 1 large baby and he wrecked my body. After I had him I knew that some day I'd need a tummy tuck. I did a lot of research and had 3 opinions. I decided on a Dr. that I knew a lot of my frieds had gone too and that my own MD recommended. He is and was wonderful. I felt completely comfortable with him and his staff. Whatever question I had he answered completely and honestly. So I booked it.

Today I am 11 days post op and all I can say is OMG. Im very happy that I did it and so far happy with my results, I just didnt think the pain would be this extreme and constant. My drains are still in which is annoying. Im scared to have them taken out after reading some womens experiences. Im suppose to have them taken out on Friday...keeping my fingers crossed.

If there are any women who are comtemplating this elective surgery please feel free to ask ANY questions. I will be totally honest with you.

HI! I just had mine 1/27/11 and I completely agree with you! The tummy tuck is much more intense! I tried going off my pain pills a couple days ago, thinking I could handle... I was delusional! LOL. Right back on I went. Now, I feel SOOOOOOO much better! I think the lipo on my back and flanks is what is killing me now. The drainage tubes, are awful! Every pull and tug at them makes me climb the stinkin' walls! Friday I get at least one out and THAT is freaking me out! How you feel better soon!
Hi there, I am 12 out now and still take pain meds. Not every 4-6 hours but at least 2 times a day. I am now at the point where everything feels tight including my breast. I didnt have lipo and Im thankful I didnt cuz it seems as though that kills. These dam drains OMG are so annoying. Im over them now. I want them out but am very scared. Some say it hurts others say its over quick and not that bad. I guess we'll both see on Friday. Best of luck to you and keep in touch.
I know what you mean about the "tight" thing. I feel like something is going to rupture if it gets any tighter. The insision area isn't too bad, so although it IS more painful, I do feel like my 3 c-sections primed me for this. HOWEVER, add the boods and THAT, my friend is a much different story! O-M-G! I did have the Lipo though and holy &^%$, I felt like I was never going to get past this. I mean, you can't lay on your tummy, or side really, so laying on your back is all you really have! Ummmm, NO!!! It was excruciating! Hope you are feeling better!!! I get better with each day. We are almost there!
PS... Drains suck.
Hey how you doing? Are your drains out yet? They took mine out and it wasnt bad at all. Im not liking the swelling Im having since the drains are out. How are you feeling?
Just thought I'd let you know that my drains did not come out yesterday. I had a hematoma that he drained in the office and he said that I need to take it easy. Until next week. How about you? Did yours come out and how was it honestly?
