Ulthera on Lower Face - Portland, OR

This is actually my second treatment. My first...

This is actually my second treatment. My first treatment three months ago (brows) made me feel like I was going to crawl out of my skin with pain. Not kidding. It was soooo painful despite the threads I have read saying that it doesn't hurt at all.

Knowing what it felt like helped me discuss pain options with the clinic this time. I was prescribed Tramadol, which reduced the pain significantly. The technician who administered the treatment was wonderful and kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok. It has been two days since the treatment and I have encountered no bruising, swelling, welting or any adverse reactions whatsoever. I appreciate that she has called to carefully follow up since then as well!

The clinic was offering a special 1/2 price promotional deal. I am still not sure what the outcome will be for me -- I have read that a certain percentage of people have no results -- but the special made me feel ok with trying it to see what happens.

It's been a while since your procedure, are you pleased with the results? I have this scheduled next week and would love to hear from someone that is a few months post procedure.

HI Sera,

I'm not sure if the tingling is normal, you should check with other community members. I checked in our doctor Q&A and someone asked the question, How long does it take to see results, it might help you too. Keep us updated :)

Thanks,

-Brit

It has now been over a week since my treatment. I notice no tightening difference whatsoever on my skin, although my overall appearance is brighter from the laser treatment -- much like the glow after a microderm. I do hope there will be tightening eventually, but I am happy I didn't pay full price in this experiment.

The one thing I find curious is a subtle tingly feeling from time to time on the area I had treated. It is not painful but I wonder if this is common for people after being treated with Ulthera?
