4 week update

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month!! I'm feeling so good! Hardly any pain at all, just a little sore, but nothing bothersome.

I have been really good about taking it easy. I finally feel like I can complete as task or two without it completely wearing me out. I did try the treadmill last week and it was so slow! I walked for 30 minutes (I use the term "walked" loosely!). I didn't even get a half mile! I got home and I was BEAT!! I think I'm ready to try again, but I think I'll start with 20 minutes this time. I'd love to get back into a routine soon.

I feel like everything else is healing up great! No problems so far (fingers crossed, knocking on wood). I'm being very careful with my new gift! :)

I see Dr. Bohley tomorrow for another follow up, but have no concerns at this time. I do, however, want to know how long I need to wear my CG's/spanx and a sports bra. I remember reading that it was a long time, but can't remember exactly what that meant. I'll ask tomorrow, but would love any feedback you ladies might have. :)

I'm still sleeping in my recliner. It's just more comfortable because when I lay on the incision it gets achy. I think I'm going to try my bed again this week though. I'll let you know how that goes. :)

Here are 4 week pics. As you can see, I'm still swollen a little on my sides and lower belly, but especially in my back. It's not uncomfortable, but I still can't fit into my regular pants.

My right nipple and areola are numb. So is the area from my belly button to my incision about 4-5 inches in width. You can see my butt pucker is getting a little better. Hopefully it'll look better when I'm not as swollen on my backside.

Two week pics

It's been about 2 1/2 weeks. I feel really good! I'm moving and getting around just fine. I Get a little sore when I'm up and about a lot. I find I'm taking Tylenol once about every other day at this point.

Dr. Bohley cleared me to start a walking regimen, so I think I'm going to try the treadmill today. Slow, slow, slow!

Not much else to report. My awful rash is pretty much gone, I'm peeling now. The incision on my butt crack is a little funky, but if it heals up into an ugly scar, Dr. said he can do a simple scar revision. I can't say I'm terribly worried about it...just my butt crack after all! ;)
